1. Reflection about Stewardship
For me, Stewardship is not only to protect or to maintain what is
assign to you, it's about doing something good on the others and to
our community without expecting in return. Likewise, Stewardship
means that we weigh not only our own needs and desires but those of
other people and future generations. We realize that none of us is a
self-made person and that part of what we own is wealth that flows
from others through us. We appreciate the natural resources, societal
resources and financial resources that have been handed down to us
by our ancestors and we are conscious of our own legacy.
As a good steward, we should think other first before ourselves, that
you gonna give up something just to help them. Unfortunately, there
are many, many people who only care about what they can do or get
for themselves – the ―I’m gonna get mine‖ mentality. The problem with
this attitude is that by only being concerned with getting theirs, a lot
of other people around the world suffer. It’s about doing the right
thing – for the less fortunate, for those suffering, for those with
heavier burdens to bear than ourselves. It’s about standing up for
people who cannot stand up for themselves – using your voice to let
their words be heard by those in charge.
In conclusion, being a good Christian and steward, we need to see our
life as being in His hands of love and comfort, that He does have a
wonderful plan for our lives, and everything happens for a reason and
a purpose. So, we can manage, lead and be wise stewards of all He
gives to us, because our comfort is that it is all His, we are His and all
we do is for Him, Christ’s glory. So, yes we can excel and do our best!
Because, His truth remains the same. We have to see all that happens
in our life—form sufferings, tragedies, good times, what we have, what
we can do, and all–as opportunities to learn, grow, develop character,
and mature. If not, we miss out on what is important in life, causing it
to be meaningless.
