1. Our ability to adapt plays a big role in whether we are able
to live a generally happy and stress-free life. I know that
I'm certainly not the first one to figure it out, yet I feel
each and every one of us needs to figure it out in their
own way and time. For me it was my Qigong exercises
that slowly brought about the realization.
2. Science has proven that people naturally have different
levels of serotonin, so some may find it easier than others
to consistently remain happy even during difficult times.
We have all met people that seem to pick everyone else
up around them, and their counter-parts that have an
uncanny ability to bring everyone down. Most of us lie
somewhere in the middle. So the question arises on
whether or not we can improve our overall level of
happiness. I certainly believe this is achievable, and I
would like to discuss how a solid practice of Qigong
exercises can aid in this endeavor.
3. Qigong practice to me pertains to raising awareness and
being more at tranquility with ourselves and also the
people around us. When you obtain a higher level of
practice, Qigong becomes incorporated with every
element of life. This is something that occurs naturally
over time and also is the outcome of setting up a great
and also steady practice.
4. When I mention Qigong being combined into life, I am
referring to every activity becoming a lot more
enlightening. I have heard one teacher detail it as
"effortless flow" and this is a good way of illustrating it I
believe. The concept is to be like water which can adjust
effortlessly to any type of situation. Bruce Lee had a
renowned quote regarding being like water, and it applies
equally whether we are speaking about energy for martial
arts or energy for life.
5. "Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless - like water.
Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup, you put
water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle, you put it in a
teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it
can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee
7. When you become more like water you suddenly stop
feeling like everything takes a great deal of effort to
achieve. This is because you are adapting effortlessly to
your environment. You don't worry as much about the
future and you fret less over the past. This is because you
are living more in the moment. Most people do not live in
the moment, and that is more true now than at any other
point in history.
8. To be more like water and achieve an effortless flow it is
necessary to slow down. With all the distractions
surrounding us our monkey minds are having a field day,
but the joke is on us. With our minds racing along in many
directions at once we can never truly enjoy what we are
doing at that exact moment.
9. My assistance is to quit. Cease and also take 3-5 relaxed
breaths while concentrating on the lower belly. Slowly
take a look around you. Simple Qigong exercises such as
this might make you realize that you were a lot more
distracted than you thought. It has a means of snapping
you back in to the present moment. The ticket is to do this
every time you know that your mind is distracted or you
are becoming stressed out.
10. Set a filter in your head to catch when you are becoming
distracted or burnt out and over time you will certainly
increase your level of joy and lower your tension. This is
an extremely easy yet effective way to begin incorporating
Qigong exercises out into your life.
