Ravi Prakash documented his experience running the Paris Marathon on April 11, 2010. He has been running marathons since 2008 to motivate others to live healthier lifestyles. At the marathon expo, he picked up his race packet and ate pasta. On race day, he woke up early to start the marathon. After finishing, he received his medal and saw that his official time was 5:03:39, an improvement over his previous marathon. He hopes to continue running marathons and inspiring others.

2. The Journey
My marathon journey started in May 2008 as a way to motivate
my family members, fellow friends, job-seekers, parents with kids,
and health challenged individuals. I hope through practice, I am
able to set an example and help change the health of “one-person-
at-a-time”. It is my passion and I welcome one and all to join in
this effort to live an active and healthy lifestyle.

3. Miles to go...
Paris is one of my favorite city and to run a marathon in the
city was like a dream come true. I have a feeling that this is
not the last time, I will participate in this event. However, I
could not have done this without the direct and indirect
support of my family and friends around the globe. I am
humbled and honored to share the photo diary of a long
journey that I have embarked upon...

19. The Finish Line
A great sense of
accomplishment and emotion
filled my heart at the sight of
the finish line. However in
same ways, I wished it would
go on forever as I can never get
enough of the sights and sound
of running through beautiful
Paris. I know, I will be back...

23. Final Result & Analysis
My watch recorded 05:02:00 hours for 26.90 Miles. However, the
official time recorded was 5:03:39 hours for 26.2. Compared to
Atlanta marathon in 2009, I reduced my time by around 30-40
minutes.
