This document outlines the roadmap and plans for TEDxRheinMain events in 2013-2014. It discusses hosting several local TEDx events focused on different themes, including a Salon on disruptive economy, a youth event on empowerment, and an event at the ESA headquarters on space exploration. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED
has created a program called TEDx -
local, self-organized events that bring
people together to share a TED-like
experience.
At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live
speakers combine to spark deep
discussion and connection in a small
group.
These local, self-organized events are
branded TEDx, where x=independently
and self-organized TED event.

Since 2010 we‘ve been busy bringing the
magic of TEDx events to our region:
RheinMain.
So far, we‘ve achieved:

• 50 TEDx Speaker
• over 2.500 attendees
• over 3.500 Facebook fans

While much has been accomplished, the future is no less amazing. Here is our roadmap for 2013/14.
10. SALON.AUTUMN 2013
In September/October 2013 we will have
a small TEDx Salon limited to just 160
attendees. It will take place at the stock
exchange in Frankfurt in cooperation with
„Junior Chamber Frankfurt“ .

Based on the approach of Disruptive
Economy we will feature speakers that
have struck out on new paths to succeed
in business in a world more competitive
than ever.
DISRUPTIVE ECONOMY
11. YOUTH.AUTUMN 2013
In November 2013 we will have a very
special event in cooperation with a
secondary school in Frankfurt.
It is for pupils and will focus on ideas apt
to open the minds of young people and
help them contributing in a meaningful
way to society and the world in general.
It will give them an afternoon as inspiring
as it will be entertaining.
This event will be supported by
„Gründerrepublik“, a public trust that
promotes entrepreneurship among youth.
FUTURIZE YOURSELF
12. ESA.SPRING 2014
In spring 2014 we will host our next TEDx
at the headquarters of ESA (European
Space Agency) in Darmstadt.
Top speakers from all over Europe will
share with us the thrills and tribulations of
exploring the final frontier.
They will talk about the art and science of
distant celestial bodies, the technology
that may get us there and the challenges
of doing business in space – inspiring
everybody with their stellar energy.

13. HUB.SPRING 2014
In addition to our regular events we are in
the planning stages of an ambitious online
project.
A beautifully designed online magazine
full of entertaining and enlightening ideas
worth sharing.
It will be called „Hub“ because it is meant
to be the local destination for high-quality
content designed to carry initiatives,
inspirations and ideas worth spreading
from offline to online and back again.
