When you are teaching

or using technology
there are legal rules and
etiquette rules that
should be followed.

4. LEGAL
Before using any form of technology in school the
teacher and the student should sign an
acceptable use policy.
Teachers and students should be aware of the
copyright laws for educational material.
-only enough copies for class use
-how to cut and paste pictures, graphs and
quotes. Giving appropriate credit to the owners
of the material.

5.  Preview all videos before showing. Check for
inappropriate pictures and language.
 Preview all podcast for language use and
information.
 Preview wikis for language, age appropriate
material being discussed and truthful
information.
 Keep passwords private
 Always log off of a computer when you walk
away for any reason.

6. ETIQUETTE
 Technology etiquette should be
used at work as well as at home.
 The phrase Netiquette has been
coined to use when referring to
internet etiquette.

7.  Remember that there is a human that has to
read what you publish or send.
 Spell check
 Grammar check
 Consider others feelings
 Keep everything professional
 *Treat people the way you want to be treated*
