1. Abide in the Word … The prerequisite to Abundance

John 15:1-17
I. To conceive
John 15:4-5 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannotbear fruit
of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him,
the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

John 1:1 In the beginningwas the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we
beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of
grace and truth.
John 15:3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto
you.
John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man
be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannotenter into the kingdom
of God.
Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but
accordingto his mercy he saved us, by the washingof regeneration,
and renewingof the Holy Ghost;
John 15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall
ye be my disciples.

2. John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what
ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
John 15:11 These things have I spoken [W-O-R-D-S]
unto you, that my joy
might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained
you, that ye shouldgo and bringforth fruit, and that your fruit should
remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give
it you.
1John 2:27 But the anointingwhich ye have receivedof him abideth in
you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing
teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath
taught you, ye shall abide in him.
1John 3:17-24 17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his
brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion [compassion is
emotion, not a bail-out program Pr. 19:17]
from him, how dwelleth the love of God in
him?
18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed
and in truth.
19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our
hearts before him.
20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth
all things.
21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward
God.
22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his
commandments, and do those things that are pleasingin his sight.
23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of
his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him.
And herebywe know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath
given us.

3. John 15:9-10 9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue
ye in my love.
10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have
kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
Mark 9:24 And straightwaythe father of the childcried out, and said with
tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
Gal 5:7-10 7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye shouldnot obey
the truth?
8 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.
9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
10 I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none
otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment,
whosoever he be.
Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
John 20:19-21 19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the
week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembledfor
fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them,
Peace be unto you. [His presence must be experienced to be
understood]
20 And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side.
Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.
21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath
sent me, even so send I you. [peace and purposefrom 1st
hand info]
Doubting Thomas missed the show and tell; so he doubted “2nd
hand
information”
John 20:24-25 24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, calledDidymus, was not
with them when Jesus came. 25 The other disciples therefore said unto
him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, ExceptI shall see in his
hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails,
and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
