Social Business is the future as introduced by IBM. But, when you find the expert, looked at his files and presentations and now you need clarification. Do you send him an email?Of course, noHierarchy of Social Business Communication ChannelsChat is better than emailVoice is better than chatVideo is better than voice alone■Relationships are formed at the voice and video levels
ForwardLeaning Leadersare drivingorganizational transformation by enabling collaboration solutions into applications and business processes for mission criticalbenefitssuch as thoselistedhere. The reason for IBM and Polycom working on this issue is simple. Weintend to create a solution thatiseasily and seamlesslyintegratedintoeverydayworkflows, includingunified communication solutions. This willallowusers to call fromanydevice, anywhere, to any locationTip: as opposed to reading the list, pick on in advancethatyoubelieveyour audience will relate to and use thisslide as an opportunity to engage them in a brief interaction to confirmtheir areas of interest.
Why Would I Want to Link Sametime to a MCU?Continuous Presence is important■Keeps everyone engaged and focused■Have Sametime Connect clients and room based system togetherBoth video only calls as well as Sametime Meetings■Allows outside parties (customers, suppliers, etc.) to connect to the MCU via a browser client and be in a meeting with room based endpoints as well as Sametime Connect clients
Sametime unified telephony also includes a convenient phone book. From the phonebook you can store numbers for contacts not in your corporate directory (like the local pizza place) and access your call history. If you use conference bridges, you canstore the number and the passcode here as well. Dialing the bridge through yoursoftphone will cause Sametime to automatically enter the passcode for you. If you dial through a hard phone, it will display your passcode in a window so you can manually enter it. Any phone number in your phone book can also be displayed in your contact list andwill appear in your quick find search bar. This makes it very easy to click to call thelocal pizza place for those late night meetings
