Marriage and Divorce Marriage and divorce rates in the UK rose during the early 1970’s. But now the trends seem to have stabilised. What might this mean I terms of: 1. health care needs of older people in the next 20 years? 2. social support networks for women and men?
What are families for?
What are families for? Think about your own family. How have they influenced your thinking? How has that helped shape your health behaviours? How do families provide support for their members?
What are families for? Families also support formal health care services by providing large amounts of informal care. The next two charts shows how much informal care is provided by women and men in the UK.
