Contents of the course Amongst the key issues included in this course are:  Familiarisation with the tank and pipeline arrangements, pipe system control valves, pumps, instrumentation, controls.  Basic operations and procedures.  Special operations & procedures like tank atmosphere evaluation, use of inert gas,  Cleaning of cargo tanks, crude oil washing, draining and stripping procedure, use of slop tanks, gas freeing and Load on top (LOT) procedure.  Ballast operation / Cargo operation/ Operational problems faced and remedial actions.
