ABSTRACT

Media is a major force in modern culture. The influence of media on the society has grown
exponentially with the advance of technology. Media reflects and creates the culture. Media
exists ever since the conception of civilization. Town criers were used in early civilization to
convey news to the people of the particular region. Then slowly came many more mediums
to convey news, provide entertainment and for communication. However, Media has both
positive and negative impact on lives of people in today’s world with the reference to the
face book and its impact in present generation.

RATIONALE OF THE STUDY

Media is important to on three basic areas of life, namely: - 1. Entertainment, 2. Education
3.news / information.

Media is fast growing. Every person has access to one or the other form of media.

Media has affected the psyche of Human Beings. It has negative or positive impact on the
lives of people.

AIM

The current aim is to study how media with reference to face book

has been influenced people in their lives.

OBJECTIVES

To study the positive and negative impact of media.

To find out how media and social networking impacts on our youth.

RESEARCH DESIGN

The research design would be descriptive in nature.
Sample techniques

Data collection would be collection from primary source through questionnaires. The
sample would be surveyed on the basis of questionnaire and data would be quantified for
further analysis.

Sample unit

Universe refers to the total number of items, objects and people of a specified class which
are directly related to or covered by the research problem the universe of the study
constitutes

Sample size

Sample refers to number of items to be universe to constitute for the random basis from the
city itself. a sample of 100 response would ,be used in research.

DATA SOURCE

Primary data was collected with the help of structured questionnaire which will enable
analyze the impact of media in society and on the people lives both advantage and
disadvantage.

Secondary data is used for more information
