1. CLASS RULES<br />No student will enter the classroom after the teacher. Any student that arrives late to class, must have a written permit. <br />Students must always speak English. <br />Books and notebooks must be kept in good condition. <br />Use blue or black ink in notebook and only blue in exams. <br />Use liquid paper when you make mistakes. Blotches are not allowed in notebook. <br />Hand homework assignments in on time. <br />Your work must be done with neatness, legibility, correct spelling and good penmanship. <br />Your notebook will be constantly and randomly checked and should be complete. <br />Your notebook is a very important study tool, in it you will have class notes which you will need as a study guide. <br />Your participation is necessary to speed up the learning process. <br />Maintain discipline and respect inside the classroom with the intention of creating an agreeable working environment. <br />Quizzes should be signed and pasted in notebook on the next day they were delivered. <br />Shirts must be always tucked in.<br />----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------<br />When you first arrive at school...<br />Collect all necessary supplies in order to be prepared for your first class. <br />When the bell rings... <br />Quietly sit at your desk and start the bell work assignment that is on the board. <br />When there is an announcement... <br />Stop what you are doing. <br />Be silent and listen attentively to the announcement. <br />When you have finished your class work and there is still class time left... <br />Place completed assignments face down on your desk. <br />You may silently read your novels from English class, retrieve classroom materials for silent reading/browsing, or sketch/doodle on scrap paper. <br />When you are participating in class discussions...<br />Please raise your hand and wait for your turn to speak during the discussions. <br />Always show patience waiting for your turn and show respect to your classmates who are speaking by listening attentively without interrupting. <br />When class is about to end... <br />In the last minutes of class time, Ms. Vicky will give instructions to tidy up the classroom and pack up all belongings. <br />Order your chairs and stand patiently behind your desk until Ms. Vicky dismisses you. <br />When the emergency alert sounds... <br />Follow the school emergency procedures being quiet, calm and orderly. <br />When you have to find an assignment because you were absent...<br />You will be responsible for completing this assignment as homework for the following day <br />You will find the make up work in the book shelf box with your class label. <br />A student will be assigned to put it there and he or she will explain it to you. If you still have a doubt, you can ask Ms. Vicky after class. <br />When you are required to cooperate in group work... <br />Take turns discussing your topics with your partners. <br />If there is a disagreement that cannot be resolved, you must raise your hand and ask Ms. Vicky to help settle any disputes. <br />When papers are to be handed back to the class... <br />A different student will be chosen by Ms. Vicky to be responsible for handing back graded assignments. <br />When you have to hand in classwork... <br />Pass your classwork to the person to your left. <br />The last student in the row will place all of the collected classwork in the labeled place for your section. <br />When you have to write headings on assignments...<br />Write your full name and list number on the first line.<br />Write the date on the top left corner of the page and the group on the right of the second line.<br />Write the assignment title on the middle of the third line.<br />
