1. Duck, Duck, Goose
Duck, Duck, Goose is a traditional running and chasing game. It is played all over the world in
various forms.
Rules:
A.Everyone sits in a circle.
B.One player is chosen as 'it', stands up and walks around the outside of the circle,
tapping each player on the head and saying whether they are a "Duck" or a "Goose".
C. As soon as the goose is chosen, that person must jump up and chase the 'picker' around
the circle.
D. The picker must try to get to the goose's position and sit down without getting caught
by the goose.
E. If the picker succeeds, the goose becomes the new picker, and the game continues. If
the goose gets back to his/her place first, the picker has to try again by repeating his or her
walk around the circle
Objetives:
1. Improve gross motricity.
2. Improve peer relationship.
3. Start accepting rules.
2. Red light, green light.
This running and tagging game is a lot of fun and requires speed, quick reactions and balance.
The more players (and the more space) the better, but you can play it with as few as three people.
For younger children, it can help to reinforce that ‘red means stop, and green means go.’
Rules:
Choose a player (or an adult) to be the caller. They stand with their back to the other players who
stand behind a line about ten metres away (or as far as you like).
A.When the caller shouts "Green Light!" everyone runs towards the caller and tries to 'tag'
him or her.
B.But when the caller shouts "Red light!" and turns around, you must all stop as still as
statues.
C.Anyone who is seen to move by the caller, even a tiny bit, is sent 'home', back to the
starting line. The game continues in this way.
D.When someone successfully tags the caller, then it’s their turn to be caller and the game
begins again.
E.Are you going to go for the quick sprint lightning strike or the slow and stealthy
approach? You decide
Objetives:
1. Improve gross motricity.
