Overall learnings at P&G:
1. Get, analyze, & use your key campaign metrics/data
2. Make it personal – Day of Caring, Video, Kickoff
with Agencies
3. Get to 100% Participation – Deal with Privacy &
Pressure issues
4. Fast & High Energy campaign
5. Use competition to your benefit
6. Structure your rewards/incentives to bracket
minimum, medium, and leadership givers
7. Every year at least ONE new idea – ex: Retirees, T-
shirts
United Way Campaign Metrics:
• How was this possible?
– Make the campaign personal
• Plant Leadership covers the material with all employees
• Everyone MUST respond on solicitation to give (target 100%
participation/response)
– Ensure privacy to allow employees to respond
– Weekly follow-up to solicit their response
• Encourage participation in Day of Caring, but 2100 people
working 12 hour shifts are a challenge, so BRING THE
IMPACT OF UW INTO THE WORKPLACE (local United
Way Video)
• Make it a fast, high energy campaign – like Secretariat at the
Belmont Stakes
• How was this possible? (cont)
– Use competition
• Versus other area employers – how do your results rank?
• Versus your “sister facilities”
– Use rewards/incentives
• Employees completing their solicitation forms in first 2 weeks
get entered into raffle for choice of $75 of P&G products or
$100 to United Way of their choice
• Minimum Giving level - $175/yr donation; Get $75-$100 of
P&G product
• Leadership Giving Levels
– $250 (product & entry for UW Parking Space)

How does a member agency
qualify for funding?
United Way funds are allocated and distributed by
community volunteers to agencies that meet these criteria:
• 501c3 non-profit status
• Local presence
• Provide service that targets an identified need in the
community

Plant Managers…

Our Goal
• Last year we raised a new Mehoopany Record of $367,014
from employees and added a $135,000 corporate match!
• Due to the tough economic situation our communities are
facing, the needs of the community have significantly
increased.
• Benchmarking across Family Care sites shows other sites
give at a higher $/person rate than Mehoopany’s
• Because of this we are setting our goal at $400,000 with
80% of the site giving!!!!
• Campaign Theme – “Lets GO! SIX in a row”
• $400,000 Employee Donations w/ $125,000 Corporate
match. $525,000 Combined Goal!
• 6th year in a row to set an employee donation record!

2015 Campaign Incentives
As always, contributions to the United Way are tax deductible. Since payments
are made through payroll deduction, your pay stub will serve as a receipt.
P&G Mehoopany Individual Incentives - $ Donated
P&G Product Giveaway ($75 to $100 of product!!) NOTE the $25 increase!
Donate >$175 total annual contribution and receive a coupon for product
giveaway on December 3rd and 4th (before we even start your payroll
deduction!)
P&G United Way Supporter:
Donate >$250 and get ONE entry towards a United Way Plant Parking
Space of their choice (7 spaces this year! 1 in 25 odds of winning) and ONE
entry towards an iPad 2 raffle (2 iPads to be raffled; at least 1 in 100
odds of winning!!) + the Product Giveaway.
P&G United Way Leadership Giver – 4th Annual!!
Donate >$500 and get ONE entry towards a United Way Plant Parking
Space of their choice (13 spaces; 1 in 15 odds of winning) and ONE entry
towards an iPad 2 raffle (4 iPads; at least 1 in 50 odds of winning!!) +

P&G Mehoopany Individual Incentive – Make a decision NOW!
Make your donation by COB Monday October 6th:
- If you enter the system you get one entry
- If you donate to the United Way you get TWO entries
10 Total winners – each winner gets $50-$75 of P&G product
For every employee who enters the online system, P&G will donate
an extra $2.50 towards the United Way campaign!
P&G Mehoopany Team Goal Incentive
1st team on every shift (A, B, C, D, Dayshift by department) to get
to 100% participation/response entering the system, will get a free
pizza lunch for their team
- Total of 15 Pizza Lunches – 1 across each BC Plant teams; 2 across
FC Plant teams

within Bradford County when you enter your contribution
via the P&G On-line UW system

What is our Challenge?
This year because of state budget cuts, every United Way
agency had between 50-100% of their state funding cut.
In order to continue serving our community whether
through flood relief, big brother/sister, Red Cross, or
shelters, we desperately need your donations! If we
don’t hit our goal, these agencies will have little to no
funding.
By contributing to the United Way, you are making the best
investment you can in your hometown. Your money will go
far, but not far away.

Our Goal • Last year we raised a new Mehoopany Record of $367,014 from employees and added a $135,000 corporate match! • Due to the tough economic situation our communities are facing, the needs of the community have significantly increased. • Benchmarking across Family Care sites shows other sites give at a higher $/person rate than Mehoopany’s • Because of this we are setting our goal at $400,000 with 80% of the site giving!!!! • Campaign Theme – “Lets GO!   • 36. What is our Challenge? This year because of state budget cuts, every United Way agency had between 50-100% of their state funding cut. In order to continue serving our community whether through flood relief, big brother/sister, Red Cross, or shelters, we desperately need your donations! If we don’t hit our goal, these agencies will have little to no funding. By contributing to the United Way, you are making the best investment you can in your hometown.
