Intermittent Cooling Information

In order to conserve energy and comply with
Command Policy No. 200, USAG-J Energy and
Water Conservation Policy, an intermittent cooling
period will be implemented prior to transitioning
into heating season effective Oct. 9.
This initiative will be implemented for at least two
weeks until Oct. 22, depending on weather
conditions.
Intermittent Cooling Information

Intermittent cooling (air-conditioning service) will
continue throughout USAG-J as long as the
outside heat index remains 76 degrees Fahrenheit
during the day for five days.
During evening hours, cooling will continue if the
temperature reaches 74 degrees Fahrenheit or
above. Cooling will be discontinued when
temperatures go below the above criteria.
Intermittent Cooling Information

Daily temperature will be monitored every hour
to effectively implement this energy
conservation initiative.
The only facilities that will continue having
cooling during this period will be: The

What is Ready Army?
Ready Army is the Army Emergency Management
Program’s proactive campaign to increase the
resilience of the Army community by informing of
   relevant hazards and encouraging Soldiers,
their Families, Army Civilians and contractors to,
“Get a Kit. Make a Plan. Be Informed.”
What is Ready Army?
Through outreach and education Ready Army calls
our Army community to action and aims to create a
culture of preparedness that will save lives and
               strengthen the nation.
Get a Kit
 When disaster strikes, emergency responders
address the most critical needs and may not
even be able to get to an area until it is deemed
safe. While they work on behalf of the entire
community, it is your responsibility to ensure
your family’s well-being during times of crisis.
Emergency kits to sustain for 72 hours are an
essential tool for meeting that challenge.
Make a Plan
• Ensure everyone understands the plan, and practices.
• How to communicate during an emergency.
• Consider what to do, where to go, what to take.
• Plan for members with disabilities or special needs.
• Include pets in family plan.

• Identify a continental U.S. contact.

Lean Six Sigma (LSS)
Scarce funding and the reality of shrinking budgets
has become a fact of life for USAG-J. The application
of LSS will enable us to find the most efficient ways to
perform our current processes. It’s basically a tool kit
that enables an organization to streamline business
practices to make them more efficient and effective.
Lean Six Sigma (LSS)
We need your assistance in helping the Garrison
identify and eliminate wasteful practices to become a
         more efficient and effective Garrison.
If you have some ideas for improvements
in your area, or for more information, please contact
                263-5178/ 046-407-5178

                   closed for the below date:
