Holiday Lighting Period

Exception: 24 – 25 Dec 2013 and 1 Jan 2014
Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Years
1700 - 2400 (5 p.m. – 12 a.m.)
Illuminated displays are not allowed on roofs, gutters, downspouts,
and no drilling of concrete or metal structures is permitted.
All Holiday decorations, including fasteners, must be removed after the Holiday Season.

for both the home and administrative facilities.

• Army Family Housing (AFH) and Unaccompanied Personnel Housing (UPH)
residents: To ensure proper maintenance and care of quarters and lawns, all AFH
and UPH residents must notify the Housing Management Division (HMD) for
extended absences over seven (7) days from quarters
• Residents must assign a sponsor/responsible adult to perform periodic checks to
ensure their residence and yard are properly maintained
• In the event that you do NOT assign a responsible adult, HMD will contact your
unit or organization and request their assistance with yard maintenance
• Form for Extended Absences is available at HMD (Bldg. 671)

NEW TA POLICY
The Army officially announced changes to its TA policy for FY14 that will be
effective 1 January 2014. There are three significant changes to the Army's
TA policy:
1) Soldiers will be eligible for 16 semester hours of TA funded courses each
fiscal year.
2) To be TA eligible a Soldier must have one year of service after completion
of either AIT, OCS BOLC.
3) After completing a bachelor’s degree, a Soldier must have 10 years of
service from his or her BASD or PEBD to receive TA towards a master’s
degree.
