FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LEADER OF THE OPPOSITION CONGRATULATES CHEF NINA COMPTONMILLAR
CASTRIES, Saint Lucia - Thursday, 06 February 2014 - The Leader of the Opposition, Dr.
Gale Rigobert, together with the United Workers Party (UWP) extend warmest congratulations to
Nina Compton-Millar on her latest accomplishment. Her phenomenal performance and true
representation of her island home, Saint Lucia, on America’s popular reality TV show, “Top Chef”
deserves nothing short of national recognition – and perhaps, even bestowing her with the title,
“Ambassador of Culinary Arts.”
Although she did not emerge as Bravo’s Top Chef, she did, however, win the hearts of millions,
not only in the United States and the Caribbean, but around the world.
Nina, one of the talented daughters of the founder of the United Workers Party, Sir John Compton,
has made Saint Lucia proud at a time when the island is getting ready to celebrate the legacy and
achievements of her father at the upcoming 35th anniversary of Independence, as well as the 50th
anniversary of the United Workers Party.
Thanks to her accomplishments, Saint Lucia has received invaluable marketing and promotion for
many years to come.
Again, we say well done and we wish Nina continued success in all her future endeavours.
