Professional Ethics
 The ability to effectively articulate high
levels of professionalism in an organization
is a key determinant in establishing the
best cultures that anchor high degree of
productivity and profitability.
 Professional ethics based on ethical
theories and principles in organizations
dictate the manner in which internal and
external relations are employed and
coordinated.
Client confidence
 Quite a number of organizations and
employees globally often fail to achieve their
maximal potential and lose client confidence
due to negative implications associated with
poor ethics.
 In particular, the case study on unlicensed
engineer emphasizes professional ethics as
the driving force towards achieving the best
organizational outcomes.
 The latter is critical at all levels.
Charles Landers Case study
 The case against Charles Landers who was a former
employee of Constructing engineers and also an
Anchorage assemblyman draws attention to the
problem of lack of professionalism.
 He is accused of falsificating documents and hence,
he eventually assumed the role of his partner Henry
Wilson by forging his signature. One of the key
observable considerations in the case against
Landers is the fact that there is lack of significant
levels of ethical standards.
 Even though the need to be professional in business
is anchored on the demand for good relationship
with clients, Landers failed in two major levels.
Partner’s profession
 He acted maliciously towards his partner’s
profession. It is extremely important to
differentiate the Ethics of Morality and
Law. These three areas of knowledge are
distinguished, but have great links and
even overlap.
 Both morality and law are based on rules
intended to establish a measure of
predictability for human actions.
However, both are different.
Moral Rules
 The moral rules are assumed by a person in order to live
well.
 The law seeks to establish specified society by state
borders. The laws have a territorial base and are applied
only to that geographical area where a particular
population or their delegates live.
 Some authors claim that the law is a subset of morals. This
approach can generate the conclusion that the whole law
is morally acceptable. Numerous situations demonstrate
the existence of conflicts between moral and the law. In
addition, civil disobedience occurs when moral arguments
prevent a person from abiding by a certain law. This is an
example of a moral and the law.
 Although they deal with the same company, they may
have differing perspectives.
Company’s Interests
 While he appeared to be concerned with the
best interest of the company’s clients since it
is the most critical factor in the operation of
organizations, he forgot that the relationship
between him and his partner was very crucial.
 He decides to save the situation as an act of
goodwill by signing documents that were
being required urgently. Although he tried to
be sincere, his action lacked the proof of
truth.
Virtue theories
 According to the virtue theories, employers,
partners and employees are supposed to
adhere to high levels of virtues as a platform
for character development and assimilation
of desired habits in an organization.
 Acting maliciously against ones profession is
clearly evident in the study. It is imperative to
note that remarkable growth can only be
attained as a result of high moral standards in
a business internal operation.
Communication system
 Constructing Engineers communication system
should be very effective in addressing any emerging
issues. These include dealing with urgent needs,
approving and recommending transaction issues.
 Besides, there is need to generate great identity and
licensing for partners in the company.
 Its governance should be built based on responsibility
and accountability at all levels of management.
 Therefore, their operations are highly personalized, a
consideration that has resulted into inherent
commitment, higher levels of respect and
professionalism.

Professional Ethics  The ability to effectively articulate high levels of professionalism in an organization is a key determinant in establishing the best cultures that anchor high degree of productivity and profitability.  Professional ethics based on ethical theories and principles in organizations dictate the manner in which internal and external relations are employed and coordinated.

However, both are different.
  • 6. Moral Rules  The moral rules are assumed by a person in order to live well.  The law seeks to establish specified society by state borders. The laws have a territorial base and are applied only to that geographical area where a particular population or their delegates live.  Some authors claim that the law is a subset of morals. This approach can generate the conclusion that the whole law is morally acceptable. Numerous situations demonstrate the existence of conflicts between moral and the law. In addition, civil disobedience occurs when moral arguments prevent a person from abiding by a certain law. This is an example of a moral and the law.  Although they deal with the same company, they may have differing perspectives.

Company’s Interests  While he appeared to be concerned with the best interest of the company’s clients since it is the most critical factor in the operation of organizations, he forgot that the relationship between him and his partner was very crucial.  He decides to save the situation as an act of goodwill by signing documents that were being required urgently. Although he tried to be sincere, his action lacked the proof of truth.

Virtue theories  According to the virtue theories, employers, partners and employees are supposed to adhere to high levels of virtues as a platform for character development and assimilation of desired habits in an organization.  Acting maliciously against ones profession is clearly evident in the study. It is imperative to note that remarkable growth can only be attained as a result of high moral standards in a business internal operation.
  • 9. Communication system  Constructing Engineers communication system should be very effective in addressing any emerging issues. These include dealing with urgent needs, approving and recommending transaction issues.  Besides, there is need to generate great identity and licensing for partners in the company.  Its governance should be built based on responsibility and accountability at all levels of management.  Therefore, their operations are highly personalized, a consideration that has resulted into inherent commitment, higher levels of respect and professionalism.
