  1. Ask the crowd if anyone has been recruited before for college sports? How was this experience, what were you looking, what was the deciding factors(s)?
  2. Recruiting has grown in several ways. The popularity of internet increased the access and expanded coverage to a year round process. The birth of social media has increased the intensity and exposure of more athletes.
  3. Much the same for our graduate students or when we are looking for a new job. Looking to be seen as someone special. Looking for fit.
  4. Identify your metrics, much like a coach would do with a position.
  5. How are you communicating with your students? One of the best compliments I receive is how responsive I am to their questions.
  6. Position, QB, offense vs. defense, GAR vs. GAT, non-funded
  7. What are some things you can do to create your own signing day? Currently highlight all of our fellowship recipients.
