2. Checklist - Before You Search
• Business card (VistaPrint, etc.)
• LinkedIn profile updated (and join groups)
• Portfolio updated
• Resume updated with LinkedIn URL and
if you have one, portfolio URL
• Elevator pitch rehearsed (you have 30
seconds to tell someone what you want to do)
• Professional attire

business professionals, or organizations of interest
• References approached and advised that they
might be contacted
