TURBINA VAWT Technology Unique Solution for Green Telecom Power Supply Copyright ©T urbina IPD 2010
Agenda ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object]
Executive Summary Turbina develops and builds prototypes in the vertical wind turbine sector with an actual power output of up to 2 0KW. In collibration with Sitel, Slovenian based Company, Turbina develops hybrid off grid power supply systems as complete solution for remote base stations. In the years 2007/2008 an european and international patent for a new form of vertical wind turbines was issued: EU patent was issued ( 07013159.4 ) and International patent is still in progress (W O 2009/003537 ). This turbine is being tested in Slovenia and Bosnia at the moment and is shortly before the next development steps. All essential figures of the turbine display clear advantages compared to conventional wind turbines. The turbine combined with solar panels is suited as a stand-alone power supply for mobile communication, traffic surveillance equipment or as extra power supply in private households. The technology offers potential for the location worldwide as a new alternate power supply concept to be converted into series-production readiness and to further develop Turbina as market leader in the small wind turbine sector. Existing prototypes of various capacity are already tested in different weather conditions, configuration, and areas of application . TURBINA’s product characteristics are superior compared to the existing solutions on the market and lead to a unique product with broad spheres of application . TURBINA faces huge potential for realization of its products. High demand is expected due to the broad spectrum of possible applications. Application in cities and areas with dense population ( an uncontested market niche , possible due to the fixed stator, compact size, safe and silent operation; clean energy is becoming increasingly popular ); application in rural areas ( improved parameters in comparison to competing products; durability, weather immunity; continuous energy generation due to lower cut-in wind speed; alternative applications, e.g. water pumping , grid tied, off grid); application in communications industry (cellular networks, WiFi, WiMax ): completely self-sustaining; i deal for integration in towers (serial connectivity, combination with solar) ; green solution and most components can be provided by local suppliers .
Executive Summary Statement from Prof. Dr. Bernd Radig, TU München   „ Das Produkt hat erhebliches Entwicklungspotential, ist zukunftsreich und durch die Einfachheit und Robustheit weltmarktfähig.“ (The product has extensive development potential, a prosperous future and is compatible for the world market through its convenience and robustness.)   Prof. Dr. Radig was in Bosnia in August 2008, to visit the company and the existing prototypes.

TURBINA VAWT p rototyp e on the Mountain V las ic in 2007, Bosnia and Herzegovina, with extreme wind speeds and extreme weather conditions. This prototype has confirmed all previous assumptions. Product/Prototypes
Figures Our team develops and manufactures renewable energy solutions, based on a proprietary and self developed vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) technology. Using test results and experi e nce from pratical test s on our prototype we got a final product! Mounta i n top s and the top of buildings are best places for telecommunication signal emission. TURBINA and SITEL are developed the first wind turbine for mobile, WiFi, and WiMax base stations battery charge system s .
