3. Regulatory Update
 OSHA 1910.269/1926 Subpart V Revision – still
waiting has been overdue for seven years!
 NESC C2 2012 Edition, has some major changes.
One in particular is new table for Arc Flash at 50
volts to 800kv.

4. Update on NRECA RESAP
 NRECA has made a tremendous change to the
Rural Electric Safety Achievement Program
 NRECA has developed training for CEOs, Mid-
management personnel to assist in developing a
Safety Management Plan
 First time ever, NRECA is convening a SAFETY
SUMMIT for CEOs/GMs, mid-management
personnel, such as, VP, Asst. Managers, District
Mangers and key personnel.
 The Safety Summit is being held 23-26 Oct, 2012 at
the Ballpark Marriott Hotel, St. Louis.

5. Fatality Dillard Smith
 Joey Taylor, lineman for Dillard Smith
Contractors, was fatally injured last Friday while
working repairing storm damage at Volunteer
Energy Cooperative Crossville service area.
 The accident is still under investigation by
TOSHA, he apparently made contact with an
energized fused cut-out while working to repair a
tap off a three phase circuit.
