We are very fortunate to have many online resources available to us at school and at
home. The database resources require a password and may be obtained by contacting
the librarian at the address listed below. The resources are:
World Book Online
Britannica
Gale Group
Facts on File
EBSCO
TeachingBooks
KLRN
Visual Thesaurus
ProQuest
Visual Dictionary
Ask Kids
and new to Baskin library is Brain Pop
4. Policies
Students may borrow :
PreK - 1st Grade = 1 book at a time
2nd – 6th = 2 books at a time
Parents = 5 books at a time
One-week check-out period.
5. Policy-cont.
Computer for cataloging and internet research
purposes. Students sign up for use at the
circulation counter.
Free printing for up to 3 sheets with few pictures
allowed. After that, the cost is 5 cents per sheet.
Librarian must be notified before printing
begins.
6. Procedures for Class Library Time
1. Students return books in at circulation desk
2. Grab a shelf marker to help find books
3. Check books out at circulation desk
4. Sit at designated area with book(s)

Volunteers are needed. Some areas:
Reading to students
Shelving books
Decorating library areas
Maintaining magazine rack and game/puzzle area
Volunteer must pass the background check
required by SAISD. Ask the librarians for the
form, or go by the main office.
