This article described the history of the civil war. It gave causes to the war and major events within the war. The information within the source was very organized and
included pictures and time lines. The information on the source came from a history book published recently. I also compared the information in this article to others
found throughout the research paper. All these articles yielded similar results, which helped me to believe it was true. This article helped me describe the effects of war on
Sudan's government. It provided me with the necessary information to accurately describe some of the issues cause by the war.
Crawfurd, Jacob. “Sudan Timeline.” Crawfurd. N.p., n.d. Web. 26 Oct. 2010. <http://crawfurd.dk//sudan_timeline.htm>.
The information shows many dates of the Sudanese civil war. These dates are some of the more important events that affected the civil war. I took the dates and
events and checked them on other sources. I did this so that I knew that this source was accurate. This information enhanced my learning by giving me a layout of all
the important events during the civil war. Before I was confused of all the events and when they actually took place, but know I can use this Information for my paper
Deng, Francis M. "Sudan - Civil War and Genocide." The Middle East Quarterly. Middle East Forum, Winter 2001. Web. 22 Oct. 2010. <http://www.meforum.org/22/sudan-civil-war-and-
genocide>. This source describes the causes of the Sudanese Civil War. It shows the war from both the Christian and Muslim side and describes the wars effects on Christians.
Even though this article was written in 2001, it describes history that still has not changed. Information from other sources proved the information in this article correct. Francis
M. Deng, the author received a degree from Yale Law School. He has written many books and articles and has also served as a senior diplomat in Sudan and as an Ambassador
to the United States. The source helped to answer the question "How did the war affect culture." By describing both sides of the war, this article helped to enhance
understanding. It also helped us to determine the main reasons of the war and the main effects the Christian people are being
influenced by.
Esposito, John L. "Sudan." The Islamic World: Past and Present. Dec. 1 2004: n.p. SIRS Researcher. Web. 06 Oct 2010.Although this article gives general information on Sudan, it singles in on
The Sudanese Civil War. It gives a history of Sudan. The author of this article John L. Esposito is a professor of religion and international affairs at Georgetown University.
The information on the website seems accurate when cross referenced with other websites. I used the information in this article to better describe the effect the civil war had on
the people’s religion. It helped show the results of the war and everything that the war affected.
