19. LORD OF THE DANCE I danced in the morning when the world was begun, and I danced in the moon and the stars and the sun, and I came down from heaven and I danced on the earth. At Bethlehem I had my birth.

21. I danced for the scribe and the Pharisee, but they would not dance and they would not follow me; I danced for the fishermen, for James and John; they came to me and the dance went on.

34. Matthew 21:33-46 “ Listen to this story: There was a man who owned a vineyard. He put a wall around the vineyard and dug a hole for a winepress. Then he built a tower. He leased the land to some farmers and left for a trip.

35. Later, it was time for the grapes to be picked. So the man sent his servants to the farmers to get his share of the grapes. But the farmers grabbed the servants, beat one, killed another and then killed a third servant with stones. So the man sent some other servants to the farmers.

36. He sent more servants than he sent the first time. But the farmers did the same thing to the servants that they had done before. So the man decided to send his son to the farmers. He said, ‘The farmers will respect my son.’ But when the farmers saw the son, they said to each other,

37. ‘ This is the owner’s son. This vineyard will be ours!’ So the farmers grabbed the son, threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him. So what will the owner of the vineyard to to these farmers when he comes?” The priests and leaders said, “He will surely kill those evil men.

38. Then he will lease the vineyard to some other farmers. They will give him his share of the crop at harvest time.” Jesus said to them, “Surely you have read this in the Scriptures: ‘The stone that the builders did not want became the cornerstone.

39. The Lord did this, and it is wonderful to us.’ “So I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you. It will be given to people who do the things God wants in his kingdom. The person who falls on this stone will be broken. But if the stone falls on him, he will be crushed.

40. “ The Humble Jesus Crushes our Pride”

41. Psalm 118:14-29 14 15 Shouts of joy and victory come from the tents of those who do right:

42. 16 With his power the Lord has done mighty things.

43. 18 The Lord has taught me a hard lesson. But He did not let me die.

44. 20 This is the Lord’s gate. Only those who are good may enter it.

45. 22 The stone that the builders did not want became the cornerstone.

46. 24 This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad today!

47. 25 Please, Lord, give us success.

48. 26 We bless all of you from the Temple of the Lord.

49. 27 With branches in your hands, join the feast. Come to the corners of the altar.

50. 29 Thank the Lord because He is good. His love continues forever!

52. Creed: I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

53. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended to the dead.

54. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, is seated at the right hand of the Father, and will come again to judge the living and the dead.

55. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

57. Merciful God, we confess that we have not loved you with our whole heart. We have failed to be an obedient church. We have not done your will, we have broken your law, we have rebelled against your love,

58. We have not loved our neighbors, and we have not heard the cry of the needy. Forgive us, we pray. Free us for joyful obedience, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

60. In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven! Glory to God. Amen.

66. It is right to give our thanks and praise.

74. Eternal God, we give you thanks for this holy mystery in which you have given yourself to us. Grant that we may go into the world in the strength of your Spirit, to give ourselves for others, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
