Human Factors of XR: Using Human Factors to Design XR Systems
Types of pollution - custom show
1. Types Of
Pollution
Done by : Yusra Al-alawi , Sheikha Al-jahwari
2. Air Pollution
o What is air pollution :
contamination of the air by noxious gases
and minute particles of solid and liquid
matter (particulates) in concentrations that
endanger health
3. Air Pollution
o Sources of Outside Air Pollution
1- Insecticides 3- Livestock feedlots
2- Herbicides 4 - Everyday radioactive fallouts
o Sources of Indoor pollution
1- pollen 3- Molds and mildews
2- house dust 4- animal dander and cat saliva
4. Air Pollution
o Effects on the environment
1- Acid rain
2- Ozone depletion
3- Global warming
4- In human population- respiratory
problems, allergies, strengthens lugs, and a risk
for cancer
6. Water Pollution
Water pollution is any chemical, physical or
biological change in the quality of water
that has a harmful effect on any living thing
that drinks or uses or lives (in) it. When
humans drink polluted water it often has
serious effects on their health. Water
pollution can also make water unsuited for
the desired use.
7. Water Pollution
o Point sources
1- Discharge at specific locations
2- Easier to identify, monitor, regulate
o Nonpoint sources
1- Agriculture
2-Runoff of chemicals and sediment
8. Water Pollution
o Effects on the environment
1- Spread of disease
2- Flooding
3- Harms the food chain
4- Harms animals
10. Land pollution
Land pollution is the degradation of Earth's
land surfaces often caused by human activities
and their misuse of land resources. It occurs
when waste is not disposed properly. Health
hazard disposal of urban and industrial
wastes, exploitation of minerals, and improper
use of soil by inadequate agricultural practices
are a few factors
11. Land pollution
o Causes of land pollution
1- Increase in urbanization
2- Increase in agricultural land
3- Domestic waste
4- Agricultural activities
5- Industrial activities
12. Land pollution
o Effects on the environment
1- exterminates wildlife
2- acid rain kills trees and other plants.
3- vegetation that provides food and
shelter is destroyed.
