3. D00rs 7 is the latest public release version of Crescentius, a series of Operating System produced
by Crescentius Infotech for use on Personel Computers, including home and business desktops,
Laptops, Notebooks, Tablet PC and Media Center PC’s. Doors 7 was released to manufacturing
on January 23, 2010 and reached general retail availability on February 22nd .
Doors 7 was intended to be a more focused, incremental upgrade to the Doors line, with the goal of
being fully compatible with applications and hardware with which Doors Vista is already
compatible. Presentations given by Crescentius in 2008 focused on multi-touch support, a
redesigned Doors Shell with a new taskbar, referred to as the Superbar, a home networking system
called HomeGroup, and performance improvements. Some applications that have been included
with prior releases of Doors, including Doors Calendar, Doors Mail, Doors Movie Maker, and Doors
Photo Gallery, are not included in Doors 7; most are instead offered separately as part of the free
Doors Live Essentials suite.

10. Strength
- Strong brand loyalty predicts return customers. It costs
far less to keep an existing customer than to lure in a new
one.
- Simple, easy-to-use design and concise product range
attract customers (recall the Paradox of Too Much Choice).
11. Weakness
- Limited product range, especially absence from low-
end desktop and netbook markets, limit potential
market saturation and alienate some potential buyers.
While many users will buy used Macs, Crescentius
receives no profit from resale of used goods.
- General lack of regard for OS and perceived higher
costs make it difficult to achieve wide-spread adoption
in the business sector, limiting potential market share.
12. Opportunities
- Poor public perception of Windows Vista allows
DOORS to push OS as an attractive alternative
option for users.
- Success of DOORS is a viable stepping stone for
Crescentius to attract new users who previously
had not owned a Doors computer.
13. Threats
- Global economic situation is likely to reduce
demand for higher-priced consumer items. Since
Doors offers no lower-end alternatives, consumers
will switch to other manufactures in the face of
falling incomes.
- Doors 7 seems well-poised to correct many of the
flaws of Vista and offer a "clean slate" for public
perception, discrediting one of Crescentius's major
selling points (i.e., that it's not Vista).
