Adele Laurie Blue Adkins is an English singer and songwriter born in 1988 in Tottenham, London. She graduated in 2006 and released her first single "Hometown Glory" shortly after. Her debut album "19", named for her age when she wrote many of the songs, went to number one on the British charts. Adele's songs are mostly about heartbreak from a lost love and she has won numerous awards including Grammys, Brits, and an Academy Award for the James Bond theme "Skyfall".
