When deciding to have breast augmentation surgery make sure that your doctor is certified by the
American Board of Plastic Surgery and Operates only in accredited medical facilities. Sadly, there are
doctors without surgical training who market cosmetic surgery procedures to the unsuspecting public.
In order to be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery you must take a test. This is a rigorous
test and not easy to pass. That is why there are so few board certified plastic surgeons, but there are
many cosmetic surgeons.
In order to have your board certification you need to complete training in surgery as well as a formal
residency in plastic surgery, followed by passing a rigorous written and oral examination. Doctors can
claim that they are a M.D. but this does not guarantee that they are board certified, which is a big
difference.

Consider the implant size you want. You can measure breast implants by their cubic centimeters or cc’s.
They range from 120cc all the way to 850cc depending on how big your breasts are and how large you
want them to be post surgery.

augmentation; you can go with saline or silicone implants. They are both FDA approved and safe to use.
