IT Architect has to think many things before come out as proper design to customer. This check list is the starting point for that thinking.

1. Functional Requirement
Functional Requirement จะอธิบายว่า System ทำาอะไร โดยมองจากมุมของ End
User โดยจะต้องตอบ Business Requirement ได้
1. Business Motivation: ส่วนนี้เป็น business requirement ที่จะเป็นตัวกำาหนด
หลักว่า solution จะออกมาในลักษณะใด
2. Application Specification: จะต้องตอบโจทย์ของ Business Requirement
โดยจะต้องคำานึงถึง functionality ต่างๆ ที่จะมีใน Application เช่น
integration, user location, data access, etc
Non-Functional Requirement
Non-Functional requirement จะอธิบายว่า
คุณสมบัติของ system ที่สร้างขึ้นมาจะเป็นยัง
ไง โดยจะอธิบายในหัวข้อของ Quality กับ
Constraints
ในการ Design solution จะต้องคำานึงถึงปัจจัย
เหล่านี้ โดยจะต้อง verify ว่า ปัจจัยเหล่านี้
ควรมีอยู่ใน solution design หรือไม่ ไม่จำาเป็น
ว่าทุกปัจจัย จะต้องมีใน design ซึ่งถ้าไม่มี
ด้วยความตั้งใจ ก็ควรจะมีการ document หรือ
ระบุใน Assumption ไว้ให้ชดเจน

2. Quality of Solution
Quality จะอธิบายถึง Expectation และ Characteristics ของ System Design ปัจจัย
ต่างๆของ Quality ไม่จำาเป็นจะต้องมีทุกข้อ ในตัว Final solution design แต่จะ
ต้องมีเหตุผลสนับสนุนที่ดีพอ ว่าทำาไมจำาเป็นต้องมี หรือไม่จำาเป็นต้องมี ซึ่ง
Architect จะต้องทำาการ Verify, Architect, และ Validate ตัว Solution ให้ดี
Runtime Quality:
1. Performance and Capability
2. Availability
3. Manageability
4. Security
5. Usability
Non-runtime Quality:
1. Portability
2. Reliability
3. Efficiency
4. Scalability
5. Maintainability
6. Safety
7. Data Interiority
Constraints
เป็น Limitations หรือ specifications ที่มีใน Solution ตัว requirement กับ constrains
จะอยู่กันคนละข้างของตาชั่ง ถ้าข้างนึงมาก อีกข้างนึงก็จะมากด้วย
Constrains แบ่งออกเป็นสองส่วนคือ
Business
ข้อจำากัดที่เกิดจากสภาพแวดล้อมของ
Business ซึ่งอาจจะมีผลต่อการทำา solution ที่นำา
เสนอ อาจจะพิจารณาในด้านใหญ่ๆได้ดังนี้
1. Project Schedule and Budget จะมองว่า
ลูกค้ามี schedule ที่ tight มากน้อยเพียง
ไหน แล้วมี budget เท่าไหร่
2. Ongoing Maintenance and Support Cost
3. Volumes and Services Levels
4. Risk Willingness
5. Organization Impact

Technical
The technical environment the system needs to
