The context and the rationale
Goals of the project:to improve the teachers’ and students’ English skills and to promote understanding, mutual respect, and good relations between Haitian and Dominican youth andEnglish teachers.

The bridge at the border crossing Massacre River
Participants 20 Haitian and 20 Dominican students, aged between 14 and 17 from the border region. English levels from false beginner to low intermediate. 		English was the only common language, studied in schools in both Haiti and the DR. ,[object Object]
  4 teacher trainers from the U.S.A.
  1 Conflict transformation specialist, assisted by 6 Peace Corps Volunteers
   1  Arts and Craftsvolunteer.
  2 parents/ chaperones (1 Haitian, 1 Dominican)

This was the first time for me to meet people who live close to me and I discovered that we could get along and make friends with each other. The people of the world are equal and we have the same capacity to learn I learned how to live with others without worrying about their race or color. All people are my brothers and sisters Friends are more important than circumstances Race, skin color are not important because in the end all are equal
