Summary
When used correctly, websites take our message to the masses. They are a beneficial tool in marketing the
company, product and opportunity we possess. If you use them, it is your responsibility to be sure they are
updated and meet our policies.

Social media is an exciting way to build relationships, have fun, catch up with old friends and make new friends.
Social media can also be a powerful tool. Many direct sellers choose to reach out to their social media contacts in
an effort to share products/services and to offer an opportunity. LegalShield, both the service and the
opportunity, can fit well into the everyday conversations many have on social media sites like Facebook, LinkedIn,
Twitter, Google+, and others.

Word of Caution
Social media is social, and the web is world wide. Many sites and services were built for friendship, connecting and
sharing. However, you should also keep in mind that your friends and contacts can, with a single click, hide, block,
or otherwise disconnect from you. Be careful not to alienate people on social media sites with an unprofessional
amount of marketing. Just as you wouldn’t walk into a community event and start handing out your business cards
to everyone (whether they wanted it or not) you should consider your actions in social media as REAL and very
much subject to the same social and cultural expectations one might experience at a party or local civic group
meeting. We recommend that you use common sense and behave accordingly online.

Remember, when you put something online, it’s quite possible that it will be there for a very long time. Don’t let
the ease of posting (and deleting) give you a false sense of control after the post. The control and discretion you
exercise must come before the post.

Be sure to guard your words online as carefully as you would standing face to face with another person. What you
post online is not private and by its very nature is in a public forum. A good rule of thumb is to avoid posting
anything you would not want to see displayed, and used against you in court.

What to Expect When Submitting Your Work to Web Approvals for a Decision
When you submit advertising to Web Approvals a few things happen:

    1. We’re going to review your request in full. If we need additional information, we will reply and ask for it.
    2. When we have all the information needed to review your request, we look at two levels of approval
              a. Regulatory – your advertising must pass and meet all regulatory guidelines established by the
various regulating agencies that govern our business.
              b. Brand – your advertising must adhere to our brand guidelines (you can find these online in
                   Associates Only).
    3. If your request is approved, we’ll let you know and record the approval in your associate file for you.
    4. If your request cannot be approved we will do one of two things.
              a. Salvage – in cases where the advertising is close to approval and needs editing to get there, we
will provide those edits for you.
              b. Deny – in cases where the advertising (concept or content) is not close to an approved stage, we
will deny it and explain the reasons why in our response.

The above is a general guide, each request is different and depending on the complexity of your request, we may
need significant time to review and respond. For simple requests, we generally respond within two business days.

Please also read the LegalShield brand guidelines before submitting your work for approval.

All work should be submitted BEFORE it is made public.

Send web marketing requests for approval to:

NOTE: Approvals are not considered or granted via telephone call.

Advertising your Business & Regulatory Concerns
It is important to understand that, as a matter of policy, LegalShield does not endorse or approve advertisements
that are not supplied by, or approved by, the Company. If you advertise your business without this review, you do
so at your own risk and are subject to the same federal, state/provincial, and local regulatory requirements.
Ignoring these requirements and publishing anything that violates regulatory guidelines can result in investigation
and consequences if you’re found to have committed violations. If a federal, state/provincial, or local
agency/entity charges you with violations, LegalShield is to be held completely harmless. Punishment for
violations can include, fines, loss of your business, and in extreme cases of fraud or theft, could result in
incarceration. Violation of brand standards, and/or regulatory guidelines, may result in the termination of your
Associate Agreement, resulting in the loss of your business.

Ten General Guidelines
    1. Define Your Relationship to LegalShield Correctly: Your Company approved title within your LegalShield
business is, “Independent Associate”. This applies, but is not limited to, “work history” listings. You are
not offering legal advice/services and should not present yourself or your marketing in a way that might
         mislead someone on this count.

    2. Distribution of Proprietary Information: Information provided through company training may not be
placed in the public domain. You may not photograph, record, or otherwise duplicate company training,
events, presentations, or other information to distribute in any way.

    3. Use Sound Business Judgment: Be mindful that Company guidelines for business practices will be
enforced for any Associate using social networking as a means to promote his or her LegalShield business.
Misrepresentation of the Company in name, concept, or product will not be tolerated.

    4. Confidential and/or Private Information: Be careful not to disclose confidential or private information
(including, but not limited to proprietary Company information or the private individual information of
         others).

    5. Zero Liability: LegalShield is not responsible for the personal communications or social media postings of
any Associate. When you post, do not claim or imply (directly or indirectly) that you are speaking as, or on
         behalf of, the Company.

    6. Linking and Sharing Files: If you choose to link to content about LegalShield, the linked content must be
hosted either on a LegalShield website/server or one of LegalShield’s licensed content providers. You may
not link to content that has not been reviewed per the Company’s guidelines.

    7. Uploading Video and/or Content: In order to ensure content is kept updated and accurate, you may not
upload any corporate produced content; however you may link or direct visitors to such content.
Remember that corporate produced content is protected by copyright.

    8. Customized Social Media Sites: Some social media sites allow users to design and layout pages and
subpages within the social media structure. If you intend to use these pages to promote LegalShield in
any way, they should be reviewed by the Company prior to posting and are subject to the website
advertising guidelines and brand guidelines in this document.

    9. Paid Social Media or Pay Per Click Advertising: Many social media and other online services allow the
purchase of advertising and message placement. In these efforts, the same requirement for review prior
         to posting is necessary.

    10. Proselytizing: (If you are a licensed broker, please see page 15.) You do not have to use your website or
social media network to promote your LegalShield business. However, if you choose to do so, you may
NOT use the same user account, or any other connected/related accounts, to promote any other network
marketing opportunity, legal services related product/service, or identity theft related product/service,
either through intentional solicitation or unintentional alerts. Doing so violates the terms of your
Associate Agreement. This requirement extends for two (2) years after the termination of your Associate
Agreement. Please refer to your Associate Agreement for details.

Personal Websites and “My Story” Sites
Independent Associate – You must represent yourself as an Independent Associate. It makes clear your business
does not represent the company and does not act on behalf of the company itself. You are an Independent
Associate. You are not an employee of LegalShield.

Benefits/Exclusions – In order to not misrepresent the product, or any benefits someone receives from the
membership, the exclusions must also be listed when benefits are described. It gives the interested party a full
scope of what we offer. Except in rare circumstances LegalShield does not allow the posting of our benefits
information/exclusions on sites outside those directly controlled by the company.

Graphics, Images, Videos or Corporate Materials (as the use relates to copying or duplicating a copyrighted item
and hosting/using it in a form not provided by the company) – If one of these items is produced by the corporate
office or a licensed vendor, it is copyrighted. We secure use and distribution rights, but those rights do not extend
to anyone outside the corporate office – except in the use as the company provides. (eg…you can use a brochure
to sell a membership, but you can not scan the brochure and use the graphics on a flier or website you design
yourself.)

Company Name – You may use the company name in your materials in text form. If you wish to use the trademark
logo, please follow our brand guidelines. All uses of trademarked properties must be approved prior to use.

Other Companies Represented on Your Site – LegalShield should be the focus. Mentioning other companies causes
confusion that we may corporately endorse other products/services.

Linking to Your LegalShield Website – If you have an approved eService site, it can be linked on your page or a pre-
approved banner linking back to your page. The link must be clear, either via the use of the link itself, or in context
with the rest of your site that it is a link to your page, and not a corporate site.

Unapproved wording: There are specific words you may want to avoid. Depending on how they are used, they
may prevent us from approving your site. Words to consider are: advice, aide, attorney, broker, cash, court,
defender, defense, docket, fraud, free, ID, identity, IDT, insurance, justice, Kroll, law, lawyer, legal, liberty, name,
paralegal, Pre-Paid, prepaid, protect, Shield, theft, any derivative of the LegalShield names or any subsidiary
(including initials).

Please also review the LegalShield brand guidelines before submitting your work for approval.

URLs (website addresses)
These may be used to host your own website or as a simple redirect to an official LegalShield Associate website.
Regardless of how the URL is used, if it is intended to market or educate about the LegalShield product, company,
brand, or other company property, it must follow certain guidelines.

Associates may not use or attempt to register any of Company's trade names, trademarks, service names, service
marks, product names, the Company's name, or any derivative thereof, for any Internet domain name.

Associates may not use or attempt to register any name that could cause a member to misinterpret the scope of
the LegalShield membership, any name that could mislead a user into thinking he/she is accessing a corporate site,
or any name that may detract from the LegalShield trademark.

Examples of Approved URLS:

     JohnSmith.com
(note, if you use your name as a redirect URL directed at an eService website, it does not need to be
        submitted for approval)
     XYZBenefits.com

Examples of Denied URLS:

Sites to Avoid
 Graphic or Objectionable – These do not reflect the LegalShield brand.
 Non-English Speaking Sites – Avoid marketing to individuals who do not speak the language supported by
the plan you’re selling. Our attorney network is not equipped to handle non-English speaking members

Social Media Platforms
Facebook, Google+, Twitter, LinkedIn, MySpace, etc…

As you create your profile, upload photos and videos, and as you post status updates, please remember that you
are an “Independent Associate” of LegalShield. You should not represent yourself as an employee of the
Company, or as the Company itself. You should feel comfortable talking about what you do, and the
service/opportunity you are excited about. However, you should also strictly rely on corporate produced sites and
materials for detailed descriptions of the service and/or opportunity.

Corporate produced (and copyright protected) materials may not be placed on your social media sites, though you
may link to them. LegalShield will stay on top of all regulatory and legal requirements affecting our materials and
will change them accordingly when necessary. If you post our materials on your site and fail to update them when
we do, you run the risk of losing your business due to violations of those same regulatory or legal changes.

A few things to consider about this platform:

USERNAMES: Remember, your user name should reflect you or something about YOU. Your user name should not
directly or indirectly imply that you are LegalShield. Promoting yourself and your business is great. Doing so in a
way that looks to be an official company website is not allowed.

STATUS UPDATES: Represent yourself appropriately as an Independent Associate when you mention LegalShield.
It’s also important to consider the context of your posts. If you’re going to mention LegalShield on your Facebook
page, your page should not portray an unprofessional or irresponsible person.

PHOTOS/VIDEOS: You should treat your image online with care if you’re going to promote the LegalShield brand in
any way. Take care that photos/videos shared on your site support a professional image. You should NOT use the
LegalShield logo as your profile picture as it implies a corporate site.

ADS: Social media ads fall into the “online marketing” category and should be submitted for review prior to use.
We will be happy to give you an opinion on regulatory and legal considerations regarding your advertisement.

PAGES: Some social networks allow for the creation of pages and fan sites. You may create pages and fan sites as
they relate to you and your personal business…but these pages and sites should NOT appear to be LegalShield
corporate sites.

COMMENTS: Watch comments posted to your page by others, and be prudent in determining what to allow on
your page if you plan to promote your LegalShield business via social media. You will be held responsible for
content placed on your site, whether that content originated with you or someone else.

Blogs & Information Sharing
We prohibit blogging solely about the legal service plan specifically as a marketing technique. If you write a blog
on another topic and wish to promote your business through that blog, be sure that your representation is of
yourself and not an attempt to represent the corporate office or the LegalShield brand. You may post an ad on
your blog, or a promotion within a post, as long as it is absolutely clear that you are an Independent Associate. If
you present the opportunity, it must be referred to as a “business opportunity” and not as a job, employment, or
in a “help wanted” method.

The ten (10) general guidelines mentioned previously in this document apply. Be sure to thoroughly read and
understand them before posting to your blog anything about LegalShield.

We do encourage you to moderate and/or screen your comments and interaction (if you choose to open your blog
posts referring to LegalShield up to such communications). You will be held responsible for content placed on your
site, whether that content originated with you or someone else.

Video & Picture Sharing
YouTube, Flickr, etc…

We do not attempt to legislate the posting of videos on YouTube that do not use our brand marks or contain
information about LegalShield, our products, or services. Associates may not use corporate materials that are
protected by copyright on a personal/business YouTube channel. Your videos should reflect you and your own
business and should not, in any way, appear as “official” LegalShield videos.

We do encourage you to moderate and/or screen your comments and interaction (if you choose to open your
Channel up to such communications). You will be held responsible for content placed on your site, whether that
content originated with you or someone else.

Specialty Sites, Content and Considerations
While ALL LegalShield Associates are subject to regulatory and brand guidelines, special consideration, regarding
the development of certain sites and content, may be given to Associates who have achieved a certain level or who
have an official appointment from LegalShield.

Platinum/RVP/GVP Sites – Platinum Executive Directors, Regional Vice Presidents, and Group Vice Presidents are
authorized to develop NON REVENUE GENERATING team and/or region support websites that contain more
detailed information about the company, products, training, and more. These sites are NOT marketing sites, but
support based websites. If developed, the person who owns the site is responsible for alerting the Vice President
of Sales for LegalShield that the site is live. The site will be subject to regulatory and brand review and the owner
may be required to make changes where necessary. Additionally, when design, structure, or functionality changes
are made to a site, additional notification to the Vice President of Sales is required. Content that may be provided
includes, but is not limited to:

     Calendars
 Directions about how to obtain product/sales information
 Links to personal development resources
 Links to corporate information and resources
     Personal messages
 Training developed by the Platinum/RVP/GVP (with approval from LegalShield’s VP of Training and VP of
         Sales)

This group may utilize various tools available online to accomplish these tasks.

High Profile Web Presence: High visibility sites may require business linkage and more in-depth technical
involvement at the corporate level. Associates who need assistance with high profile or large prospective
membership base customers may receive dedicated assistance. Generally these special considerations are made
at the executive level within the corporate office. These considerations are rare. We allow such special
considerations due to the shared goal of selling memberships. If an Associate demonstrates a reasonable
expectation of membership sales potential, and that expectation is backed by data and the appropriate due
diligence, we may help support that effort. If you believe you fall into this category, the first step is to contact the
Platinum Executive Director in your upline to help you evaluate your data, due diligence, and then make the
necessary contacts, presentations, and proposals to the LegalShield Executive Team.

Web Guide for Legalshield

  • 1. To All Associates: This document will help you navigate the use of the LegalShield SM brand in your online marketing efforts. You’ll find information about both brand use and regulatory compliance. The internet provides a great way to connect with people. Network marketing is a business that involves connections. It’s only natural to promote your LegalShield business online. If you promote your business online, the reputation of our company is in your hands. It always has been, but with the reach of the internet and social media, we must all be very careful about how we portray the company and our message. Thank you for being mindful of this, and for following the guidelines presented here as you share LegalShield online. You always have our best wishes and hope for success!
  • 2. LegalShieldSM Independent Associate Web Communications Information and Guidelines | Published March 9, 2012 The purpose of this document is to provide guidelines for the promotion of your LegalShield business. We’ll also lay a few ground rules for appropriate references of the Company and your title with LegalShield. We don’t intend to provide a “how to” in marketing LegalShield – that’s up to you. What to Expect Inside  Summary and Words of Caution  What to Expect When Submitting Your Work to Web Approvals for a Decision  Ten General Guidelines  Product and Opportunity Representation  Personal Websites and “My Story” Sites  URLs (Website Addresses)  Online Banner Ads  Sites to Avoid  Technology  Social Media Platforms  Blogs & Information Sharing  Video & Picture Sharing  Specialty Sites, Content and Considerations  Conclusion and Contact Information  Revision History These guidelines apply to the use of LegalShield collateral (logos, brochures, presentations, etc...), brand, name, and/or likeness online. The policy applies to websites, blogs, social network pages, video sharing websites and all other virtual spaces. NOTICE: Copyright and trademark law applies to materials produced, supplied, and/or sold by LegalShield and licensed business partners. LegalShield will protect and defend all intellectual property rights under law. LegalShield, at our discretion, can review any material and take appropriate action, which may include reducing commissions advanced, changing the associate to as-earned, or termination of an Associate Agreement. 2|P a g e LegalShield Web Guidelines, ©2012 LegalShield These guidelines may be updated and modified at any time with or without notice.
  • 3. LegalShieldSM Independent Associate Web Communications Information and Guidelines | Published March 9, 2012 Summary When used correctly, websites take our message to the masses. They are a beneficial tool in marketing the company, product and opportunity we possess. If you use them, it is your responsibility to be sure they are updated and meet our policies. Social media is an exciting way to build relationships, have fun, catch up with old friends and make new friends. Social media can also be a powerful tool. Many direct sellers choose to reach out to their social media contacts in an effort to share products/services and to offer an opportunity. LegalShield, both the service and the opportunity, can fit well into the everyday conversations many have on social media sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+, and others. Word of Caution Social media is social, and the web is world wide. Many sites and services were built for friendship, connecting and sharing. However, you should also keep in mind that your friends and contacts can, with a single click, hide, block, or otherwise disconnect from you. Be careful not to alienate people on social media sites with an unprofessional amount of marketing. Just as you wouldn’t walk into a community event and start handing out your business cards to everyone (whether they wanted it or not) you should consider your actions in social media as REAL and very much subject to the same social and cultural expectations one might experience at a party or local civic group meeting. We recommend that you use common sense and behave accordingly online. Remember, when you put something online, it’s quite possible that it will be there for a very long time. Don’t let the ease of posting (and deleting) give you a false sense of control after the post. The control and discretion you exercise must come before the post. Be sure to guard your words online as carefully as you would standing face to face with another person. What you post online is not private and by its very nature is in a public forum. A good rule of thumb is to avoid posting anything you would not want to see displayed, and used against you in court. 3|P a g e LegalShield Web Guidelines, ©2012 LegalShield These guidelines may be updated and modified at any time with or without notice.
  • 4. LegalShieldSM Independent Associate Web Communications Information and Guidelines | Published March 9, 2012 What to Expect When Submitting Your Work to Web Approvals for a Decision When you submit advertising to Web Approvals a few things happen: 1. We’re going to review your request in full. If we need additional information, we will reply and ask for it. 2. When we have all the information needed to review your request, we look at two levels of approval a. Regulatory – your advertising must pass and meet all regulatory guidelines established by the various regulating agencies that govern our business. b. Brand – your advertising must adhere to our brand guidelines (you can find these online in Associates Only). 3. If your request is approved, we’ll let you know and record the approval in your associate file for you. 4. If your request cannot be approved we will do one of two things. a. Salvage – in cases where the advertising is close to approval and needs editing to get there, we will provide those edits for you. b. Deny – in cases where the advertising (concept or content) is not close to an approved stage, we will deny it and explain the reasons why in our response. The above is a general guide, each request is different and depending on the complexity of your request, we may need significant time to review and respond. For simple requests, we generally respond within two business days. Please also read the LegalShield brand guidelines before submitting your work for approval. All work should be submitted BEFORE it is made public. Send web marketing requests for approval to: Web Approvals webapprovals@legalshield.com Fax: (580) 421-6305. • 5. LegalShieldSM Independent Associate Web Communications Information and Guidelines | Published March 9, 2012 Ten General Guidelines 1. Define Your Relationship to LegalShield Correctly: Your Company approved title within your LegalShield business is, “Independent Associate”. This applies, but is not limited to, “work history” listings. You are not offering legal advice/services and should not present yourself or your marketing in a way that might mislead someone on this count. 2. Distribution of Proprietary Information: Information provided through company training may not be placed in the public domain. You may not photograph, record, or otherwise duplicate company training, events, presentations, or other information to distribute in any way. 3. Use Sound Business Judgment: Be mindful that Company guidelines for business practices will be enforced for any Associate using social networking as a means to promote his or her LegalShield business. Misrepresentation of the Company in name, concept, or product will not be tolerated. 4. Confidential and/or Private Information: Be careful not to disclose confidential or private information (including, but not limited to proprietary Company information or the private individual information of others). 5. Zero Liability: LegalShield is not responsible for the personal communications or social media postings of any Associate. When you post, do not claim or imply (directly or indirectly) that you are speaking as, or on behalf of, the Company. 6. Linking and Sharing Files: If you choose to link to content about LegalShield, the linked content must be hosted either on a LegalShield website/server or one of LegalShield’s licensed content providers. You may not link to content that has not been reviewed per the Company’s guidelines. 7. Uploading Video and/or Content: In order to ensure content is kept updated and accurate, you may not upload any corporate produced content; however you may link or direct visitors to such content. Remember that corporate produced content is protected by copyright. 8. Customized Social Media Sites: Some social media sites allow users to design and layout pages and subpages within the social media structure. If you intend to use these pages to promote LegalShield in any way, they should be reviewed by the Company prior to posting and are subject to the website advertising guidelines and brand guidelines in this document. 9. Paid Social Media or Pay Per Click Advertising: Many social media and other online services allow the purchase of advertising and message placement. In these efforts, the same requirement for review prior to posting is necessary. 10. Proselytizing: (If you are a licensed broker, please see page 15.) You do not have to use your website or social media network to promote your LegalShield business. However, if you choose to do so, you may NOT use the same user account, or any other connected/related accounts, to promote any other network marketing opportunity, legal services related product/service, or identity theft related product/service, either through intentional solicitation or unintentional alerts. Doing so violates the terms of your Associate Agreement. This requirement extends for two (2) years after the termination of your Associate Agreement. Please refer to your Associate Agreement for details. 5|P a g e LegalShield Web Guidelines, ©2012 LegalShield These guidelines may be updated and modified at any time with or without notice.

  • 7. LegalShieldSM Independent Associate Web Communications Information and Guidelines | Published March 9, 2012 Personal Websites and “My Story” Sites Independent Associate – You must represent yourself as an Independent Associate. It makes clear your business does not represent the company and does not act on behalf of the company itself. You are an Independent Associate. You are not an employee of LegalShield. Benefits/Exclusions – In order to not misrepresent the product, or any benefits someone receives from the membership, the exclusions must also be listed when benefits are described. It gives the interested party a full scope of what we offer. Except in rare circumstances LegalShield does not allow the posting of our benefits information/exclusions on sites outside those directly controlled by the company. Graphics, Images, Videos or Corporate Materials (as the use relates to copying or duplicating a copyrighted item and hosting/using it in a form not provided by the company) – If one of these items is produced by the corporate office or a licensed vendor, it is copyrighted. We secure use and distribution rights, but those rights do not extend to anyone outside the corporate office – except in the use as the company provides. (eg…you can use a brochure to sell a membership, but you can not scan the brochure and use the graphics on a flier or website you design yourself.) Company Name – You may use the company name in your materials in text form. If you wish to use the trademark logo, please follow our brand guidelines. All uses of trademarked properties must be approved prior to use. Other Companies Represented on Your Site – LegalShield should be the focus. Mentioning other companies causes confusion that we may corporately endorse other products/services. Linking to Your LegalShield Website – If you have an approved eService site, it can be linked on your page or a pre- approved banner linking back to your page. The link must be clear, either via the use of the link itself, or in context with the rest of your site that it is a link to your page, and not a corporate site. Unapproved wording: There are specific words you may want to avoid. Depending on how they are used, they may prevent us from approving your site. Words to consider are: advice, aide, attorney, broker, cash, court, defender, defense, docket, fraud, free, ID, identity, IDT, insurance, justice, Kroll, law, lawyer, legal, liberty, name, paralegal, Pre-Paid, prepaid, protect, Shield, theft, any derivative of the LegalShield names or any subsidiary (including initials). • 12. LegalShieldSM Independent Associate Web Communications Information and Guidelines | Published March 9, 2012 Social Media Platforms Facebook, Google+, Twitter, LinkedIn, MySpace, etc… As you create your profile, upload photos and videos, and as you post status updates, please remember that you are an “Independent Associate” of LegalShield. You should not represent yourself as an employee of the Company, or as the Company itself. You should feel comfortable talking about what you do, and the service/opportunity you are excited about. However, you should also strictly rely on corporate produced sites and materials for detailed descriptions of the service and/or opportunity. Corporate produced (and copyright protected) materials may not be placed on your social media sites, though you may link to them. LegalShield will stay on top of all regulatory and legal requirements affecting our materials and will change them accordingly when necessary. If you post our materials on your site and fail to update them when we do, you run the risk of losing your business due to violations of those same regulatory or legal changes. A few things to consider about this platform: USERNAMES: Remember, your user name should reflect you or something about YOU. Your user name should not directly or indirectly imply that you are LegalShield. Promoting yourself and your business is great. Doing so in a way that looks to be an official company website is not allowed. STATUS UPDATES: Represent yourself appropriately as an Independent Associate when you mention LegalShield. It’s also important to consider the context of your posts. If you’re going to mention LegalShield on your Facebook page, your page should not portray an unprofessional or irresponsible person. PHOTOS/VIDEOS: You should treat your image online with care if you’re going to promote the LegalShield brand in any way. Take care that photos/videos shared on your site support a professional image. You should NOT use the LegalShield logo as your profile picture as it implies a corporate site. ADS: Social media ads fall into the “online marketing” category and should be submitted for review prior to use. We will be happy to give you an opinion on regulatory and legal considerations regarding your advertisement. PAGES: Some social networks allow for the creation of pages and fan sites. You may create pages and fan sites as they relate to you and your personal business…but these pages and sites should NOT appear to be LegalShield corporate sites. COMMENTS: Watch comments posted to your page by others, and be prudent in determining what to allow on your page if you plan to promote your LegalShield business via social media. You will be held responsible for content placed on your site, whether that content originated with you or someone else. 12 | P a g e LegalShield Web Guidelines, ©2012 LegalShield These guidelines may be updated and modified at any time with or without notice.
  • 13. LegalShieldSM Independent Associate Web Communications Information and Guidelines | Published March 9, 2012 Blogs & Information Sharing We prohibit blogging solely about the legal service plan specifically as a marketing technique. If you write a blog on another topic and wish to promote your business through that blog, be sure that your representation is of yourself and not an attempt to represent the corporate office or the LegalShield brand. You may post an ad on your blog, or a promotion within a post, as long as it is absolutely clear that you are an Independent Associate. If you present the opportunity, it must be referred to as a “business opportunity” and not as a job, employment, or in a “help wanted” method. The ten (10) general guidelines mentioned previously in this document apply. Be sure to thoroughly read and understand them before posting to your blog anything about LegalShield. We do encourage you to moderate and/or screen your comments and interaction (if you choose to open your blog posts referring to LegalShield up to such communications). You will be held responsible for content placed on your site, whether that content originated with you or someone else. 13 | P a g e LegalShield Web Guidelines, ©2012 LegalShield These guidelines may be updated and modified at any time with or without notice.

Associates may not use corporate materials that are protected by copyright on a personal/business YouTube channel. Your videos should reflect you and your own business and should not, in any way, appear as “official” LegalShield videos. We do encourage you to moderate and/or screen your comments and interaction (if you choose to open your Channel up to such communications). • 15. LegalShieldSM Independent Associate Web Communications Information and Guidelines | Published March 9, 2012 Specialty Sites, Content and Considerations While ALL LegalShield Associates are subject to regulatory and brand guidelines, special consideration, regarding the development of certain sites and content, may be given to Associates who have achieved a certain level or who have an official appointment from LegalShield. Platinum/RVP/GVP Sites – Platinum Executive Directors, Regional Vice Presidents, and Group Vice Presidents are authorized to develop NON REVENUE GENERATING team and/or region support websites that contain more detailed information about the company, products, training, and more. These sites are NOT marketing sites, but support based websites. If developed, the person who owns the site is responsible for alerting the Vice President of Sales for LegalShield that the site is live. The site will be subject to regulatory and brand review and the owner may be required to make changes where necessary. Additionally, when design, structure, or functionality changes are made to a site, additional notification to the Vice President of Sales is required. Content that may be provided includes, but is not limited to:  Calendars  Directions about how to obtain product/sales information  Links to personal development resources  Links to corporate information and resources  Personal messages  Training developed by the Platinum/RVP/GVP (with approval from LegalShield’s VP of Training and VP of Sales) This group may utilize various tools available online to accomplish these tasks. High Profile Web Presence: High visibility sites may require business linkage and more in-depth technical involvement at the corporate level. Associates who need assistance with high profile or large prospective membership base customers may receive dedicated assistance. Generally these special considerations are made at the executive level within the corporate office. These considerations are rare. We allow such special considerations due to the shared goal of selling memberships. If an Associate demonstrates a reasonable expectation of membership sales potential, and that expectation is backed by data and the appropriate due diligence, we may help support that effort. If you believe you fall into this category, the first step is to contact the Platinum Executive Director in your upline to help you evaluate your data, due diligence, and then make the necessary contacts, presentations, and proposals to the LegalShield Executive Team. 15 | P a g e LegalShield Web Guidelines, ©2012 LegalShield These guidelines may be updated and modified at any time with or without notice.
