Creating a report
Best Practices
 When new to creating reports, plan out your report on
paper first.
 When adding a new field in Studio, it might not show up
in Reports right away. You might need to close your
browser and reopen.
 Create a Role for all users that doesn’t allow anyone to
Edit or Delete other user’s reports.
 Instead of creating reports from scratch, copy an existing
report.
Future of Reports
 Enhanced Sorting and Grouping Options
 Ability for users to schedule and publish reports to others
 Ability to summarize the Activity data from multiple
modules ( Calls, Emails, Meetings, Notes and Tasks)
 Enhanced relationship handling

  • 4. Reporting Features ▪ Group, organize and extract data for analysis ▪ Create detailed row by row reports ▪ Create summation reports to group and summarize data ▪ Create matrix reports to display results in a grid format ▪ Schedule a report to run and have it delivered to you via email
  • 5. Report Types ▪ Rows and Columns – In-depth information in row and column format ▪ Summation – Overview of the data, grouped by specific criteria – Display results in groups, based on a particular field value – Include sum, count, max values for each group – Create charts to display the results visually ▪ Summation with Detail – Like Summation and includes columns of data fields from records of selected modules ▪ Matrix – Similar to a Summation report – Overview of the data displays in a grid – Display results in up to 3 group bys
  • 11. Best Practices  When new to creating reports, plan out your report on paper first.  When adding a new field in Studio, it might not show up in Reports right away. You might need to close your browser and reopen.  Create a Role for all users that doesn’t allow anyone to Edit or Delete other user’s reports.  Instead of creating reports from scratch, copy an existing report.
