1. In actual fact, I am glad that we are debating. Talking too much is a good thing as we can sieve some
good ideas. By the way, educational agents are not liked by the governments, do you know why?
Because the governments want to spend money unnecessarily. They want to have offices around the
world and hire staff just to make the cultural attaché feel more important and powerful. They don’t
know that there exist a certain amount of conflict of interest as the cultural attaché will not be able to
criticise the university if he or she choose it for the students, their responsibility should starts once we
finish the placement. But they think that they have both rights; the placement and the academic
checking. Hence the extravagant expenditure should not be there at all. I know many students in
various countries who had never seen the cultural attaches, and will never see them as he or she are
busy finding places for the new comers, when their job is to make sure that the existing students are
doing well. That is why many students fail, and this is something I tried to convince the ministries of
higher education about, but they do not listen as they think that I am only saying this because I want to
maintain my business. Oh well, we can talk about this fact forever; it can never be solved. Also the gulf
countries there are no taxes, so the governments are not questionable by the tax payers, so no one
watches what the government spends on. And this is another reason why no one questions as no one
really cares. However I care as I dont want my students to suffer just because of the wrong practices,
and I try hard to ensure that you are all doing well, so help me god!
