1. The Code of Hammurabi
 The code was carved on a black diorite
monument
 It is eight feet high
 Found in 1901 in the Persian Mountains
 The code begins and ends with addresses to
the gods, even a law in those days was a
subject for prayer
 The laws go From 1-282 but 13 and 66-99
are missing
 Currently located in the Louvre Museum in
Paris-France
