To whom:
I am writing this letter to strongly recommend Stuart Le for the position he is seeking. Stuart Le is a
student of mine in the Information Technology program here at UW Tacoma, where he is doing excellent
work.
Stuart holds himself to very high standards, and always displays a real passion for the subjects we study.
I have never been left with the impression he is just “putting in the time” for a grade, but rather that he has
a genuine interest in learning. He absorbs new technical information quickly and assimilates it into his
vocabulary accurately and permanently.
Stuart has studied primarily technical material with me in the courses I teach to the first year cohort here
at the Institute. He has excelled at both basic Networking (cisco ccna1 & ccna2 curriculum), as well as C#
.NET (OO programming fundamentals) with a brief introduction to ASP.NET MVC server side web
development using Visual Studio.
Stuart has demonstrated an ability to synthesize his own learning and relay the technical material back to
other students in a cohesive and logical presentation that is accurate and demonstrates a full
understanding of the topic.
Our lab equipment for routing and switching is limited, so students share pods of equipment in groups.
During lab exercises I have observed Stuart fulfill roles of both team leader and team member, performing
both equally well. He understands the difference between the roles with a maturity not often found in folks
his age. He has keen interests in software, software development, networking, and technical team
leadership.
I would give Stuart my highest recommendation. Please feel free to follow up with a phone call or email if
you like, using the contact information above.
Sincerely,
Charles Costarella
