2. My magazine is aimed at a niche audience of
18 – 21 year olds who are interested in
finding out about unsigned talent and
upcoming artists. This niche audience is
stereotypically students, as they are the age
range who are more likely to be interested in
different things, as university is seen as a
time for new changes in life.
3. The audience for my music magazine are typically
between 18 and 21 years old so they are more likely be
employed than a younger audience. This means that they
will be more likely to buy music magazines, although if
they do, they are not willing to spend much over £2. My
audience love to go to gigs and festivals of mainly Indie
and Pop music, which is why I have included lots of
articles about live shows, and made the issue a festival
issue, as they also prefer the content of the magazine to
the cover model.
4. • The representation of my audience are that they are
skint, willing to go out and party and will be eager to try
new things, as most of them will be students at
university at this age. I think my magazine appeals to
them because it looks fun and happy and contains
interesting articles about the latest upcoming bands.
They will read my magazine because then can impress
their friends with the knowledge of all the unsigned
talent they will discover in my magazine.
