Company
Axial Partnership was founded in 1997 by our Technical Director Stuart
Green. Stuart started his career in the petrochemical and chemical process
industry. He then moved into the Food & Beverage gaining the all
important knowledge and experience needed for today's automation
challenges.

Since the start, the company has gone from strength to strength and is
widely recognised for it’s innovation, quality and value for money
approach.

The company employs several engineers with vital years experience,
expertise and knowledge within various sectors of the control and
automation industry. Our team have a strong service and quality ethic and
we work hard to ensure that our customers expectations are always
exceeded.

We are proud of our association with the major soft drink producers in the
UK as well as many of the manufacturers of the production machinery.
Axial works closely with the main automation hardware and software
vendors and are fast gaining a reputation for our product technical
knowledge and application abilities.

Based in the centre of the UK – Uttoxeter is well placed for motorway,
airports and train links. Our premises are easy to get to and from for those

Automation
We believe automation should make everyone's work easier. So when we
design a system we consider the people who need to service the machine,
the operator who must meet production demands and management who
are looking for reliability and return on investment.

We consider the life cycle of the system. The availability of spares,
support, expandability through to decommissioning and disposal. Within
our designs we consider how energy efficient the control system is and
how we can reduce the overall consumption of energy by use of control.

Our experience in high speed bottle, can filling and packaging machinery
ensures we understand your requirements and can apply the latest
technology to maximum benefit.

Every enquiry has a Project Engineer appointed who ensures the
customers requirements are interpreted and sees the project through to
successful completion. Naturally our customers satisfaction is of the
highest importance to us.

Axial attained System Integrator Status with Allen Bradley - Rockwell
and work closely with Siemens Automation to ensure we can offer the
leading brands . Our expertise extends to Mitsubishi and Omron and
some of the older legacy systems.


Electrical Engineering
Control and automation is Axial Partnerships core business.

We design and build control panels and systems using the latest
computer aided technology. The system provides many benefits such as
enhanced documentation for the customer whilst ensuring high
standards of test and build quality.

Our engineers are trained in the programming of PLCs manufactured
by Siemens (Step 5 and Step 7), Allen-Bradley (including
PLC5, SLC500 and Logix5000) we can also supply and support
systems such as Mitsubishi, Omron and other legacy systems.

We have carried out many control and automation system installations
and upgrades, from system design and software development through
to the installation of the completed systems.

We have been particularly successful with Siemens S5 to S7
upgrades, giving a new lease of life to the machine and adding extra
functionality.

Our team has network design experience for distributed systems, drives
and instrumentation over ASI/Profi Bus, Ethernet and other proprietary
systems.


Software Applications
Focal - Production Line Performance Monitoring and Warehousing
Management systems are two application packages available from Axial
Partnership. They offer an effective starting point for any manufacturing
industry. Modular in design, other modules include Quality, Engineering
Stores and Production Planning.

Our team of software engineers are conversant with Microsoft applications
and development tools such Access and SQL.

We are expert in the use of Dreamweaver, Java and Asp scripting.

Siemens Win CC – HMI/graphical interfaces for machine control and operator
information.

We write industrial software for all the leading PLC manufacturers and their
peripheral devices.

Bar code generation, verification and tracking for warehousing applications.

Radio Frequency tagging (RFID) which is utilised in our warehousing system
and offers benefits such as tracking high value items and optimisation of FLT
movements.


Products
We design and build high availability PC’s and Servers for
business and control applications. We can even design and install
your computer room with all the ancillary equipment to house
them in.

Axial supply pallet and pack labelling solutions with print and
apply technology and bar coding. Verification scanning systems
to detect bar codes and trace ability.

Software applications for warehousing, performance monitoring
and quality.

Workstations – waterproof and food grade stainless steel – many
different solutions to suit your requirements.

The majority of our products have extended warranties on our
software and hardware.

Drawing office – AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical - we are

Axial now offer the complete service.

We are now able to start with a machine risk assessment, propose
guarding solutions, design the system, install and support.

The European Machine Directive will have a significant impact on
machine manufacturers, guard manufacturers and installers and the end
user.

We ensure legislation is followed and provide documentation of
compliance.

We supply light barriers, captive key, solenoid bolted, RF loop and
many other components to make a total guarding solution.

We are currently working toward our Siemens ASI Safe certification
which will enable us to design, install and support networked guarding
solutions.


Specialised Interfaces
We have overcome many technical challenges and seen
through many successful projects involving connection of
serial communications devices .

Communications between devices such as weigh scales or
laboratory instruments can be interfaced for real-time data
capture and shared across quality auditing applications or
passed to higher level corporate systems.

We have experience in this field including serial
communication and SAP interfaces.

Our range of graphical displays provide feedback on your
process or state of your machinery. We are expert in
graphic design making sure that the process or plant are
clearly depicted and easily controlled.


Services
We offer our customers 24 x 7 PLC software and hardware
support for their automation systems. There are various levels of
service to suit your needs.

Axial developed the concept of the virtual drawing office
(VDO) We look after your AutoCAD drawing files on our
secure server. All drawings are catalogued and stored by us.
Should you need a drawing you can access via our web portal to
retrieve the file. Hardcopy or copies on CD-ROM can simply be
requested by email or phone. Drawing revision and release
control are also catered for.

Our drawing office can carry out drawing modifications and
updates in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.

Consultancy is another key service we provide to our customers.
Whether it’s electrical engineering, feasibility studies,
production and efficiency monitoring or tuning we would be
pleased to assist.


Industrial Terminals
We design and supply a range of terminals built for the harsh environment
typically found on the production floor.

Made from food grade stainless steel they house TFT screens, PCs and waterproof
keyboards.

We offer many different options of screen size and PC specification to suit your
needs. Mounting options include pedestal, desk, wall or suspended.

These are a cost effective way of displaying and entering data on the shop floor
and positioning is easy due to the small footprint.
