Stephen F. Been, the Chief Executive Officer of Legacy
Communities in Atlanta, strongly supports the Frank Ski
Kids Foundation. As a developer who builds communities
featuring single-family homes, Been understands how
important it is for the children of Atlanta to have access to
activities that let them explore their options and realize
their dreams. As a result of this support for the foundation’s
mission, Legacy Communities has donated over $750,000
to the charity over the last six years.

Legacy Communities has been especially proud to help fund
the Frank Ski Kids Planet Green Eco-Experience program.
In this program, winners of an essay contest receive the
opportunity to travel to some of the of the world’s most
biodiverse locations. Past winners have traveled to the
rainforest, Galapagos Islands, and the Caribbean reef.
These trips give underprivileged young people who are
interested in science and the environment with the chance
to experience a world beyond their neighborhoods. Mr.
Been welcomes this opportunity to give back to the Atlanta
community and to support the next generation.
