4. What if voyage is terminated? Institute Cargo Clauses (A) Cl. 252 - Termination of Contract of Carriage Clause (9) If owing to circumstances beyond the control of the Assured either the contract of carriage is terminated at a port or place other than the destination named therein or the transit is otherwise terminated before delivery of the goods as provided for in Clause 8 above, then this insurance shall also terminate unless prompt notice is given to the Underwriters and continuation of cover is requested when the insurance shall remain in force, subject to an additional premium if required by the Underwriters Bill of Lading vs. Institute Cargo Clauses (A) Cl. 252 MSC uniform bill of lading: 19.1 If at any time the carriage is or is likely to be affected by any hindrance, risk , danger, delay, difficulty or disadvantage of whatsoever kind and howsoever arising which cannot be avoided by the Carrier by the exercise of reasonable endeavours, (even though the circumstances giving rise to such hindrance, risk, danger, delay, difficulty or disadvantage existed at the time this contract was entered into or the Goods were received for the carriage) the Carrier may at its sole discretion and without notice to the Merchant and whether or not the carriage is commenced either: ... (c) abandon the carriage of the Goods and place them at the Merchant's disposal at any place or port which the Carrier may deem safe and convenient, or from which the Carrier is unable by the exercise of reasonable endeavours to continue the carriage, whereupon the responsibility of the Carrier in respect of such Goods shall cease...

5. Possible clauses Delay and Deviation Beyond Assured’s Control Clause: To cover without additional premium the subject-matter insured herein during delays, deviations, changes of voyage, transshipments, which is beyond Insured’s and/or their agents’ control.
