the first in a bulleted list. The image
of the rubric will appear in front of

Narration: Media List:
First- State your student expectations clearly. I provided my 6th grade Windows Movie Maker
students with a simple checklist of what they needed to include. It is
Audacity
easy to adapt this project to the content of most world language units.
It is also helpful to go through the process with them first. I showed Paint.net
mine how it worked on the big screen before going to the computer
lab.

then will disappear again.
Narration: Media List:
Second, jpgs are the most supported image file by Blabberize, the Windows Movie Maker
program will not allow large image files to be uploaded without
Audacity
glitches. I also found that the finished products look more realistic if
the original mouths on the images are closed. You should also remind Paint.net
students about copyright issues if they are not uploading their own
images.

Third, in order to utilize the Free segment of Blabberize, keep in mind Windows Movie Maker
that the recordings can be no longer than 30 seconds. It is also
Audacity
important to note that if a class of students are working on it at the
same time, depending on the quality of headsets the recordings will Paint.net
pick up other things occurring in the room.

Narration: Media List:
Fourth, it is important to establish a saving method that will allow you to grade Windows Movie Maker
the students’ blabbers. You could let them all log in to an account you create to
save their blabbers as their last name (with this option you run the risk of Audacity
students deleting other students’ work). You could have them save it as public Paint.net
through their own log in and have them e-mail you the url. You could have them
save it as public through their own log in and have them save it with very specific
terms that will allow you to search for them in the Blabberize browse.
Depending on the grade level you teach, you could also have them embed their
Blabber onto their website. And coming soon, you could have them save it as a
video.
