in US,In the year 2008.
 The basic pay scale of an assistant
archaeologist employed with the

14. Underwater Archaeology
Beginning of underwater archaeology in
India can be traced back to 1981
Establishment of the Underwater
Archaeology Wing (UAW) in 2001 marked a
major step towards the development of the
subject.
UAW is actively engaged in conducting
underwater archaeological studies in the
Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal.

16.  The UN too offers jobs and courses to
people concerning archaeology , and each
person is given a high salary too.
 In fact, the UN gives the highest salary to
archaeologists.
