The presentation supported the speech by Gabriele Ruffatti introducing the "Eco-Trust, Eco-Systems, Eco-Nomy" track at fOSSa 2013 (Lille, France - November 20th-22nd, 2013). www.spagoworld.org
2. Introduction
Eco-nomy refers to the value co-creation process, exceeding
the traditional business model approach based on short-term
monetary results.
Let’s have a look to the future: researchers and visionaries will
help us to think differently, facing complexity, exploring
relationships between learning and innovation.
Let’s learn how to use openness, freedom and collaboration
as means to develop a radically new perspective that will foster the
growth of a sustainable ecology built on different values, including
the human rights, principles of justice and the protection of our
natural environment.

3. Open Source Communities, the Co-creation of Value
Marc Somerfield
Mark will explore a range of analytical perspectives that treat the
notion of value as both socially situated and as an emergent property
of interacting entities and networks that organise the social. This
exploration will serve as the basis for re-evaluating the concept of
value co-creation, as well as how the evolution of open source, as a
development model, has the potential to develop new forms of value.

4. Growing the next generation of open source hackers
Dave Neary
Dave will present how to pass on the hacker/maker culture to
kids, and why it's important.
By indoctrinating little humans with an open source world view
that sharing is better, that we create the future by building on
the past, and that you have control over your experience in the
world, we will not only create the next generation of open
source hackers, we also create the next generation of
visionaries and leaders, capable of changing the world where
learned helplessness is the norm.

5. New forms of organisation
Jan H. Wildeboer
Jan will give us a different vision of the future: civil disobedience
to protect freedom (identity fuzzing), decentralised solutions, new
forms of organisation (United Transnational Republics).
