This document provides instructions for creating a multiple choice quiz in stcLIVE, including how to:
1) Set up the quiz display, number of attempts, and grading.
2) Write formative feedback for questions and answers.
3) Check and manage student results.
3. Quiz Clicking on " Quiz " allows you to enter a feature where students can do a variety of quizzes created by the teacher and get feedback on their answers Add an activity... 5. Choosing " apply penalties " means that there is a penalty for each wrong attempt For real tests (not just unlimited practice) change this to 1 attempt . Adaptive Mode should be set to NO If you choose Yes for this option then the student will be allowed multiple responses to a question even within the same attempt at the quiz. 1 2

9. As the STCLive "help" function says, " You can use the general feedback to give students some background to what knowledge the question was testing. Or to give them a link to more information they can use if they did not understand the questions ." Scroll down the page . General feedback is given after the question has been attempted, and is the same for all students regardless of how they did the task 1

You can edit the compilation of the test by clicking on the test and choosing edit You can edit the individual questions in the test by following the above route and clicking on the editing notepad for the questions in the test (left half of screen) You can edit the settings for the test by returning to the home page, turning editing on , and clicking the editing notepad for the test
15. You can check your students’ results by clicking here . If all students scored low on one question, this means that either the topic needs to be reviewed, or that the question was misunderstood and would need to be rephrased. 1
