The Mobile Worker
1. The Mobile Worker
Today, more and more people are able to work outside of the office and be more
productive than ever. Companies are embracing this new way to work because
employees have an arsenal of apps and tools that allow them to connect with team
members, stay on top of projects and work effectively from home, or the nearest
coffee shop. Here we take a look at the emerging mobile workforce.
For a typical remote worker, life isn't about waking up in your PJs and starting work whenever you want.
On the contrary, a remote worker still has deadlines to meet, and is still working in close contact with coworkers, through email,
enterprise social networks, and other tools.
Today's mobile workforce has access to a vast number of tools and apps that along with the cloud make it easier
than ever before to work from virtually anywhere. If people can work effectively where ever they are, will we
need office buildings and big company campuses in the future?
