1. A smart phone is a small devices that is used for
computing ability , connectivity and communication
than a normally feature phone. “Research has found
that smart phones are affecting productivity,
communication in work place, social engagement and
have an effect in education”. I agree with the statement
above, because almost everyone has a smart phone and
they use them in almost everything they do in their
daily activities.

2. Effects of Smart Phones on Productivity
•Management and staff members conduct meetings
without looking at people’s heads, which makes people
to lose interest in what the meeting is about.
•24/7 access to messages, voice mails, instant messages
and emails which makes one lose concentration.
•It is good for multitasking but only on social networks.
•It causes laziness, disorganized and lack of
communication with management.

3. •It has increased the speed of business communication,
but decreased the interaction between workers.
•Work or communicate from anywhere using video
conferencing.
•Workers do not teach one another about their different
culture, because smart phones can interpret what they
say.
•Accelerated accessibility in business communication but
decelerated the focus and work ability of workers.

4. Effect of Smart Phones on Social Engagement
•Smart phones are changing our cultural norms and
values, which will change our behavior towards elders.
•The is no family bondage time and we do not sit with
family at dinner time.
•It makes us be anti-social with elder community
members because they are not using these smart phones.
•It is addictive and if one does not use the applications
that smart phone provide one will feel vulnerable and
unstable.

5. •It affects our vocabulary and academic writing.
•We do not use the libraries and dictionaries because
they have built-in dictionaries and instant access to
internet.
•Use internet to answer questions we are asked in class
and exam, that making us not to study.
•We use social networks in class or lecture and thus we
do not get enough and accurate information about what
we are learning.

How do smart phones affect in our daily lives?
“Research has found that smart phones satisfy all social
communication needs. However, this tool can lead to
addiction, disturbing concentration, even robbed of
sleep. Smart have a huge negative effect in the work
place, because workers can not meet their deadline”.
The aim of this research was to find out if it is worthy
getting a smart phone? and how is it going to benefit the
person buying it?.

9. Smart Phones are highly advanced and are good in
multitasking, but they changing our lives in a negative
way. We do not talk with our parents and we do not talk
with our community members. We do not concentrate in
class and we are anti-social. These are the effects that
smart phones have on us.
