1. The Biography of
Anne Frank
Anne Frank was a Jewish girl who
lived Amsterdam. Her diary made
her extremely famous.
2. Anne was born in
Frankfurt, Germany on
12thJune, 1929.
Her parents were Edith Frank and
Otto Frank. She had a sister
named Margot, Margot was 3
years older than Anne, she often
wished to be as beautiful as her
sister. Anne and her family were
3. It was very hard to be a Jew in
Germany, so Anne and her
family moved to Amsterdam
because the Germans didn’t
like the Jews, they blamed the
Jews for everything, that had
gone wrong with their country.
4. For Anne’s 13th birthday, her parents
gave her a diary, she called it Kitty
and she wrote in it everyday .
5. They moved to Holland in 1933 because
Hitler came to power. Hitler did not like
the Jews.
In 1942, Anne had to go into hiding
because the Germans started killing all
the Jews. They stayed in an annexe
behind Otto’s work office, they would be
safe there.
6. The door to the annexe was hidden by a
bookshelf. During the day, Anne and her
family could not look out the window,
they could not talk, and they could not
snore at night, if they did these things,
the Germans would find them and
something tragic would happen to them.
7. A lady named Miep Gies
brought them food, she
would come every few days.
There was 4 other people
staying with Anne and her
family, these people where
Peter Vann Dan, his mother
and father and Fritz Pfeffer
8. They stayed in the secret hide-out for 2
years. But after this, someone told the
Germans where the Franks were
hiding, and they were taken to a
concentration camp. The girls were taken
to a camp called Bergen-Belsen, and the
men were taken to Auschwitz
9. In March 1945, when
Anne was 15 she and
her sister sadly died of
Typhus at the
concentration camp.
Her mother died of
starvation , but her
father still hadn’t died.
He found Anne’s diary
and published it to
honour of his daughters
dream to be a writer.
