Lawrence Upper School provides comprehensive technology professional development for teachers to help them integrate technology effectively into their classrooms. This includes whole group trainings on new hardware, software or policies, weekly "Tech Tips of the Week" emails with simple instructions, and individualized training sessions. The school also offers optional summer workshops to ensure teachers are prepared before the new school year. Administrative support is needed for technology professional development through allocating time, funding, staffing, setting clear expectations, and providing incentives. Looking ahead, topics of interest include distance learning, online classes, cloud computing, and expert technology trainers.
