Editor's Notes
Keylela in Squamish language is Butterfly. A teaching of Butterfly is Transformation. Keylela is also my daughter’s totem. This description of the Butterfly Effect also describes how my daughter changed my world when she was born – it was powerful and dynamic in many ways and I hope to have a similar effect on the lives of others through Keylela Effect.
Keylela Effect will offer team-building/wellness activities which include Squamish Nation culture.
These activities will start off with a Spiritual Bath Ceremony, which is done usually before dawn, and wakes Spirit up!!!
Then we will embark on a walking tour on Squamish Nation territory where legends and teachings on traditional plant foods & medicine will be shared.
After the hike a Salmon bbq with traditional food, singing, drumming and storytelling will be shared with participants.
Then, at the end of the day, participants will experience a 2 hour Drum Meditation which will relax & ground everyone before they head home.
so that they may carry on doing good work in their communities, in their lives, and their families.
Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats for Keylela Effect.
Interest in authentic First Nations Cultural experiences is on the rise.
I need financial help to get Keylela Effect started.
There are lots of events held in Squamish/Whistler throughout the year. I can go to events and make the presence of the Keylela Effect known.
People and Organizations really only look for this kind of service when the economy is doing well.
Not only does this business offer an authentic First Nations Cultural experience, it also is a team-building/wellness experience.
I like how this quote counter balances the “Threat” of SWOT analysis.
