and Schloemann, 2002). Nurses spend much time caring for their patients but forget to look after
themselves. Caring for the nurse is an often forgotten component of nursing that can affect quality of
care. Exploring the nurse s experience in caring for a dying child will help to identify effective coping
strategies. It has been suggested that effective coping strategies are crucial in prevention of burnout
and damage to overall emotional health (Hinds, Oakes, Hicks, Anghelescu, 2005). The findings of this
project will provide an opportunity to create a broad picture of how nurses cope and behave when
caring for a dying child.

suicide claimed that they had done so due to severe parenting criticisms, which threw them into a state
of depression and rendered them uncontrollable of their actions and emotions (Arunpongpaisal,

Conclusion:
In conclusion, my graph shows how the average rate of movement of the porcellio scaber moved
slower at lower temperatures (at 5°C, the average rate of movement was 0.2cm/second) and increased
movement as the temperature got higher (at 25°C, the average rate of movement was 0.5cm/second).
My hypothesis was partially correct as the porcellio scabers did move slower at lower temperatures
and moved faster as the temperature increased. But, the porcellio scabers did not move slower at their
optimum range of 15°C. This may have been because of the temperature in the classroom at the time
when I was doing my experiments. For example, when doing my experiment at 15°C, the temperature
in the classroom was 24°C. This factor may have affected my results as the temperature in the room
has affected the temperature being tested on the porcellio scaber.
Discussion:
This investigation was carried out to determine if the rate of movement of porcellio scabers changed
when it was placed in different temperatures and therefore if the temperature affected their ecological
niche. My graph is slightly different compared to the Rosehill College s practical investigation of

The City of Vaughan
The City of Vaughan used to be known as Vaughan Township, it was named by Lieutenant Governor
John Graves Simcoe in honour of British diplomat Benjamin Vaughan. The city of Vaughan Council is
made up of a Mayor, three Regional Councilors and five Ward Councilors. The Mayor of Vaughan is
Maurizio Bevilacqua who was elected on October 25th, 2010 by the citizens of Vaughan. The three
Regional Councilors are Gino Rosati who is also Deputy Mayor, Michael Di Biase and Deb Schulte
that were all elected by the citizens of Vaughan in the year of 2010. There are five major wards in the
city of Vaughan (as shown in the area map below) that each have an elected Ward Councilor to
represent them. The first ward is managed by Marllyn Lafrate, who manages most of the Northern
Vaughan area. The second ward, consists of the southwestern area of Vaughan is managed by Tony
Carella. The third ward is mostly central Vaughan which is managed by Rosanna DeFrancesca. The
fourth ward is managed by Sandra Yeung Racco, which consists of the west central area of Vaughan.
Lastly, the fifth ward is managed by Alan Shefman which is the very southwestern area of Vaughan.

When I was about seven years old, about a week after school got out for the summer, I burnt my entire
stomach with boiling water solely because I was trying to cook Kraft mac and cheese with the sun. If

to reach the top shelf where the elbow noodles were located, and poured them into the pot along with

After getting my first part time, minimum wage job and working for several months, I was given what
is called a W 2 form. A W 2 form broke down my entire income including the income that never even
touched my hand and showed how much of it was withheld for taxes. Social Security was the largest
hunk missing, but I knew that although it pained me to see so much gone I would get it back one day.
However, that money removed went straight into the pockets of recipients, not a trust fund I would
eventually draw from, and the future of the Social Security program (and its ability to pay me back)
was in jeopardy.
After its passage on August 14, 1935, Franklin Delano Roosevelt regarded the Social Security Act as a
cornerstone in a structure which is being built but is by no means completed but whose purpose is to
take care of human needs and at the same time provide for the United States an economic structure of
vastly greater soundness. The very opposite of soundness, however, was achieved. Today, looming
deficits and abuse of the program have left it the focus of many debates. At their conclusion, the
discussions generally only point toward making it more difficult to receive the money you put in,
back, and raising taxes drastically on those still working to provide benefits for the disproportionate
amount of retirees. Its problems are vast, but a permanent solution has yet to be decided. Far less

Somehow, I climbed onto the countertop and managed to reach the top shelf where the elbow noodles were located, and poured them into the pot along with sink water hot enough it hurt my hands a little. Then, I went outside and sat down on the rough wooden porch with the pot in my hands, waiting for the noodles to cook. After about fifteen minutes, my grandmother opened the door and saw me there.
