Cardiac Muscles
The human body consist of 680 skeletal muscles. The name of a muscle can distinguish its location,
action, shape, and function. One such example is the biceps brachii, which is commonly referred to as
biceps. As the name implies, this is a two headed muscle. The term biceps brachii is a Latin phrase
that means, two headed muscle of the arm. This is references to the fact that the muscle consists of
two bundles of muscles. Each of these bundles has its own origin and share a common insertion point
near the elbow joint. The biceps brachii muscle is the one that gave all muscles their name because it
comes from the Latin, musculus, meaning, little mouse. . This originated because the appearance of
the flexed biceps resembles the back of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The name of the muscle comes from Latin, meaning, Three headed arm muscle. This muscle is
sometimes called the three headed muscle because there are three bundles of muscles and each has a
different origin and join together at the elbow. The triceps is an extensor muscle of the elbow and its
function is to fixate the elbow joint when the forearm and hand are used for fine movements, such as
writing. The triceps can function through either isolation or by compound extension movements.
The quadriceps femoris, most commonly referred to as quadriceps, comes from Latin, which means,
four headed muscle of the femur. These are large muscle groups that include the four prevailing
muscles on the front of the thigh. Quadriceps are also divided into four portions, or heads, hence from
the Latin origins. The quadriceps are powerful extensors of the knee joint. These muscles are crucial
for walking, running, jumping, and squatting.
The skeletal muscles are one of three major muscles types. As the name implies, these muscles are
attached to bones by bundles o collagen fibers that are known as tendons. Skeletal muscles are made
up of individual components that are known as muscle cells. These muscles have the appearance of
long cylinders. The basic function is responsible for skeletal muscles to

Game Theory And Human Rationality Essay
Game Theory and Human Rationality
Game theory is a popular resource for modelling economic, sociological, philosophical and many
other situations. The Stanford Encyclopaedia of Philosophy defines it as the study of the ways in
which interacting choices of economic agents produce outcomes with respect to the preferences (or
utilities) of those agents, where the outcomes in question might have been intended by none of the
agents. Game theory has many uses, including describing and predicting ideal behaviour as discussed
later on. It can be used to model and predict for example. There are, however, criticisms to game
theory in regards to its ability to apply to human rationality and emotion. Due to the widespread use of
game theory, this has become a popular area of research in economic, philosophic and even
psychological theory.
One can think of game theory as descriptive due to the fact we often use game theory to explain or
justify people s actions after they are taken. This is best seen in analytics of games or sports, where an
analyst might weigh up the advantages and disadvantages to explain a player s actions. An example of
this would be a retrospective analysis of a chess game, where game theory can be applied to each
move to explain why the player might have played a move that seemed illogical without further
thought, but ultimately gains an advantage. This only works assuming both player and analyst are both
rational or equally irrational. If this were not the

Physical Exercise and Cognitive Functioning in Children
The purpose of this study is to look at if physical exercise will help the healthy cognitive development
in children and adolescence and this paper will illustrate that the same facts are true for children and
adolescence, and will stress the importance of exercise for children optimal brain development and
growth. The current studies show that physical activity has a positive effect on attention,
neuroplasticity and intellectual development in children and adolescence. The studies also seem to
show the importance of physical activity like PE classes and recess in schools and curriculum to have
well founded, healthy children. The studies show that physical activity has affects on brain growth and
development and if children activate and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An article written by Tomporowski (2012) proves some of the same points of the earlier articles by
stated that much research recently has shown there is a significant correlation between physical
activity and intelligence and healthy cognitive development and structures in children. Again, this
article states that not much research has been done, but most of the research has proven that physical
exercise helps neuropathways in the brain and rebuilding brain cells for healthier development. This is
essential for children and adolescents as they grow, and physical activity and exercise is proving to be
a huge factor determining many children and their future. A few studies, however, provide evidence
that exercise may facilitate specific types of cognitive functioning. Children s executive functions
appear particularly sensitive to exercise interventions, (Tomporowski, 2012).
Kraft s article states that there is increasing evidence over the years that physical activity has a direct
and significant effect on cognitive function, as explained in the article. This article talks about the
research done on both animals and humans to prove that exercise is looked at the cause of stimulating
neuroplasticity, as stated in the article, which could increase cognitive functioning. The article goes
into further detail of the neurology behind the

Case Study Of Pizza Delivery
According to Wysocki (2012), there are many challenges to keeping a project running smoothly, but as
a project manager for Pizza Delivery Quickly, your main concern is about monitoring the established
metrics that can alert a project is heading for distress. The project manager must be able to analyze the
situation, revise the goals, evaluate the different options and be able to revise the plan as needed.
Metrics can facilitate the tracking system, which is essential for evaluating the current project
performance level. A cutting edge tracking system serves as a gold standard benchmark or key
indicator of the level of progress for the entire project. It is also important to note that the schedule

There are different methods that must be incorporated into a project such as the PDQ project, the
Schedule Performance Index (SPI) tracking framework could be easily incorporated into the Pizza
Delivery System order entry subsystem. Also, critical precautionary measures must be taken into
consideration for any project, which measures can be implemented effectively when some parts of the
project are lagging behind and not keeping up with the metrics. The Pizza Delivery Quickly case study
can benefit from an evaluation of the entire structural system of the project and its team in order to
perform effectively. This is a key aspect, especially if the six subsystems are required to work with the
designated teams. The most important aspect in the Pizza Delivery Quickly order system is the project
management coordination element, especially if separate independent teams are utilized effectively in
the different subsystems. This Pizza Delivery Quickly case study mainly focuses in the main structure
and effectiveness of the PDQ team and the important actualization of the SPI tracking system for the

The Peasants Revolt
The knightly Wadsley family were the lords of the manor. They hunted deer on Loxley Chase, and
fletchers (arrow makers) lived on Loxley Common. Richard Grafton, printer to Edward VI tells us
Robin Hood was descended of a noble parentage, * thereby explaining his prowess with sword and
bow due to the training received by children of the nobility. Dodsworth s comment that his mother
kept him after he killed his stepfather and fled into the woods, suggests he was young and looked after
by a nanny or servants. Changing his name from Robert Dore to Robert Hood and absconding from
court would make him a fugitive and an outlaw. Later, Robin and the citizens of York rebelled against
the unpopular lord mayor in the Peasants Revolt. The mayors name was John Gisbourne. ... Show

Ohlgren wrote, The urban guilds, including the master guilds or Great Livery Companies set the

practices and specific scenes in the Geste are compelling, offering convincing evidence that the
audience would not only recognize the mercantile allusions, but also appreciate the yeoman hero
proving himself superior to the knightly class. The king owed his comely appearance to the skill and
craftsmanship of the guilds, one of which was Robin s guild. The patron saint of the drapers guild was
the Virgin Mary, who Robin loved and whose name was often on his lips. A charitable organisation
known as the guild of Our Lord Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary cared for the widows and orphans
of their deceased members. These people were destitute and tradition has it that Robin gave to the
poor what he took from the rich. They would include the wicked churchmen, his clients as a merchant,
services rendered to his lord, king and country, and if Robin was a knight as seems likely, then rich
pickings were available from ransom money and

Media s Promotion of Consumerism
Media s Promotion of Consumerism Demian Estrada The advertising industry spends $12 billion per
year on ads targeted to children, bombarding young audiences with persuasive messages through
media such as television and the Internet. The average child is exposed to more than 40,000 TV
commercials a year, according to studies. And ads are reaching children through new media
technologies and even in schools with corporate sponsored educational materials and product
placements in students textbooks. American Psychological Association(APA) From the moment you

To explain this problematic issue the media entities have come up with some questions like; What do
consumers need? Is it a real or false need? Can we come up with a common and definitive set of
universal human needs? What is it that consumers really need? Is it perhaps in order to stay alive?
These questions can lead to different answers that in essence come down to particular human
behaviors. (Colin Campbell 282). One example of human behavior with regards to the food we eat is
that most of the world s population eats more that they really need to maintain proper nutrition and
healthy lives. Another is shown in the types of vehicles we drive. Is it really necessary to drive a huge
4 wheel drive, fuel inefficient SUV around the city or on a commute to work? Furthermore, is it really
necessary to have 50 pairs of shoes? In order to specify some one s needs it is essential to have a
comprehensive knowledge of that person s background and ambitions and their needs and desires. The
media is creating desires that we confuse with needs. (Colin Campbell 280 283). The most effective
ads are ones that we don t even recognize as advertisements. Like ads we see in television series,
news, movies and even on clothing. We are manipulated quickly by common objects, characters, or
ideas that are transformed into things that all Americans desire, hope for, fear, believe the most. (Jack

Cultures Of Anglo-Saxon And Modern Society
There are many known periods that we know lead to the development of the modern era and the Anglo
Saxon period is the oldest known period of time that had a complex culture with stable government,
art and literature. This period is a time filled with great advancements and discoveries in government,
religion, literature, and art. Cultures of Anglo Saxon society and modern society have many
similarities as well as differences. There are many differences between this period and the modern era
we live in today in terms of politics, social climate, values, social hierarchy, the role of women,
military, government and language. In this essay, I am going to focus on the differences of the two
periods in terms of values, role of women and language in the society. Some of the most common
values during the Anglo Saxon period include courage, loyalty and generosity. The Anglo Saxon era
was almost always in the state of war which is why it is a time when fighting is valued more than
working things out. This meant that heroes of this period fought for fame, glory, and pride. Heroes
were expected to boast. Beowulf, the best symbol for Anglo Saxon heroes, proves this by volunteering
to fight the monster just because he was bored and wanted to do something he can brag about. In the
story, Beowulf boasts of his bravery by talking about his past battles and victories. Beowulf basically
acts more for his own glory than for the general well being to his people. While in our modern period,

Home is a four letter word reserved for a special place in our hearts for the memories that are invoked
as you look back through time. These warm memories when desperately lonely is where the term
home sick drieves from. Although, not all homes bring warm, fuzzy feelings. The book Homegoing
clearly drives this point across. I will be discussing the home life of Kojo and H who belong to Esi s
bloodline. First, you must understand how Kojo and H came into this world. Homegoing, revolves

Formal And Acceptance, Bid, Advertising And Public Offer...
Offer and acceptance There are six elements of an enforceable contract and we will discuss one of
them which is offer and acceptance. As we learned in the class offer and acceptance defined as a
proposal made by one party to another party that designates a disposition to enter into a contract and a
designation made by the offeree that he or she concurs to be bound by the terms of the offer . This
research, will discuss the requirement for a valid offer and acceptance, bid, advertising and public
offer and termination of an offer. Requirements for a valid offer The first requirement is definite and
certain which mean the offer must specify all the terms of the contract without leaving ambiguous
parts in it because if one of the competent parties misses an important part of the contract there will be
later disagreement. The second requirement is offer must be communicated to the offeree, an offeror
has a several ways to make the offeree know the contract it may include oral communication, written
communication, and also implied communication. For example, Ahmed entered the juices store when
he frequently purchased fresh mango juice. He takes the bottle of the juice and showed it to the owner
who was busy with other customers at the time the owner nodded her head and smile Ahmed went out
from the store .By the owner action, he made an implied offer with Ahmed. By his action he had

Essay about Frankenstein and Bladerunner
It s not so much about survival but more about the quality of life
To what extent can this statement be applied to the two texts you have studied this year?
Survival is the continuing to live or exist, especially in difficult conditions, whereas
The quality of life is the fulfillment and personal satisfaction a person has with one s life. Percy
Shelley s novel Frankenstein (1818) and Ridley Scotts film Blade Runner (1982) both demonstrate a
struggle for quality of life within their texts. The texts show that it is not so much about a being s
survival, but about their undeniable want for quality in their life. We can see this issue expressed
through the ideas of compassion and humanity, autonomy and freedom, along with the basic ... Show

It is questioning humanity on how a creation can absorb emotions. How can a mere creation display
such compassion? This is outlining the monster is no longer concerned with simply surviving, but
more concerned with experiencing and understanding every aspect and quality of life.
We are also shown the idea of humanity and compassion in the film Blade Runner . The replicants are
only seen as objects. This is shown through the repetition of the reference to replicants as it . It shows
the lack of compassion and humanity and to have quality of life you need a certain degree of this.
Blade Runner also illustrates that it may not be the replicants fault for their need to survive but lacking
of the quality of life. The film noir expresses the films artificial and depressing world with
dehumanized buildings and dark eerie environments. This makes you ask is this world forgetting
about humanity? Their quest for survival is only one step into gaining quality of life as the world they
live in now does not contain all elements needed to acquire this.
Frankenstein expresses a clear idea of freedom and autonomy. Shelley portrays the monster as lonely
and only wanting to fit in. With the use of characterization we can see the monster feels locked out
from the world; his emotions explain to us his feeling of being trapped. This shows no freedom for the
monster. With no freedom he forgets about the need to survive, and focuses solely on gaining

Literature Review On Teachers Using Inquiry-Based...
There have not been many significant literature reviews about teachers using inquiry based
instructional strategies to teach science and to plan units and meet curriculum demands. However,
most literature that was found suggests that teachers that use instructional strategies in their unit plans
and lessons give teachers an opportunity to meet curriculum demands. Doing unit plans and lessons
with an inquiry based approach works very well because of limited time elementary teachers have. A
lot of times teacher can create integrated or cross curricular unit plans, which helps meet the demands
of the curriculum. Developed in the 1960 s, many teachers see inquiry based learning as a new
pedagogy (Guido, 2017). However, Minner, Levy Century (2009) suggest that ... Show more content

Discrimination Of Girls In China
History: Discrimination of girls in China comes down to the preference of boys over girls at birth. The
roots to this preference can be found deep within the Chinese culture. Boys are wanted as they will
carry on the family name and care for the parents in old age. Girls on the other hand, are seen as a
waste of time as they will marry into another family, change names, and only look after their in laws.
The One Child Policy was implemented by Deng Xiaoping in 1979 and ended in 2015 as a plan to
reduce the growth rate of China s enormous population. As a result of the one child policy, the
numbers of mothers proceeding with abortions if they found out they were having a girl spiked and it
also spiked with the introduction of ultrasound technology in. Even when girls are lucky enough to
make it through pregnancy, they are still often abandoned or thrown in the trash to die. Others are
given to orphanages to be adopted out. Families would do anything to get a boy as their only child:
Mothers that are poisoned and given forced abortions, babies that are thrown against walls, smothered
or drowned newborns, and infants that are left in the trash to die. When girls are able to make it past
their first few years of life with supportive families, they are able to experience as equal opportunities
as boys. Prejudice: Because of Chinese tradition, girls aren t seen as being as strong as men and their

Symbolism In The Masque Of The Red Death
Edgar Allan Poe s Masque of the Red Death , is a short story that takes place in the heart of a terrible
time where a deadly pestilence takes the lives of those who face it. The main symptom of the Red
Death is blood. The other symptoms include sharp pains, and sudden dizziness, and then profuse
bleeding at the pores, with dissolution (Poe 4). What makes this plague so deadly is that the duration
of the disease is no longer than half an hour, leaving the victim s face and body covered with blood.
Prince Prospero has grown scared, so he recruits some of his closest friends and goes to a secluded
castle in order to rebel against the plague (Poe 4). Months have passed and the Prince decides to

In 1846 1848 was the first time the U.S would fight a war on foreign soil, it was called the Mexican
American war. At this time Mexico was just starting to develop into a government and was extremely
confused and leadership was split between decisions. While the U.S government was head over heels
about pushing the country s borders farther and farther across North America with only expansion in
his mind. President James K. Polk faith was in one thing and one thing only to the Manifest Destiny.
He believed that the country shouldn t be limited to just the Atlantic coastline that it should be
connected to the Pacific Ocean as well. It began alongside the Rio Grande. Mexico controlled Texas,
Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, and New Mexico in 1835. In 1836, Texas was the first Mexican
territory that gained its independence from them. The United States originally believed that another
state would cause major issues because one it wasn t controlled by the government and there was a lot
of unknown politics. Texas was another major slave state and most of the major northern states didn t
believe slavery should be allowed. Another reason was because Mexico consistently threatened Texas
after they gained independence that they would raid the borders and destroy whatever laid in front of
them. The Mexicans are actually the cooperates to starting the war on April

University of California, Los Angeles Abstract After working well for more than 5 years, the Fisher
Body General Motors (GM) contract for the supply of automobile bodies broke down when GM s
demand for Fisher s bodies unexpectedly increased dramatically. This pushed the imperfect
contractual arrangement between the parties outside the self enforcing range and led Fisher to take
advantage of the fact that GM was contractually obligated to purchase bodies on a cost plus basis.

the serpent to go against God s will. This crucial moment is known as original sin, as this moment is
when both Adam and Eve fall from God s favor into the suffering and sin that is present in our modern
world. The tribulations that we were exempt from previously were now instated in our dominion due
to this original sin. However, while reading this Bible story, I did not truly understand this insight.
While analyzing and reading the actual story for the first time, I gained more insight into this original
sin, and God s almighty power over all, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Milton s Paradise Lost, Satan is characterized as a vengeful fallen angel who, while attempting to
rile his fallen army once again to battle, constantly battles with the inner despair and sorrow he feels
due to his loss against God. Satan struggles to fully realize God s almighty power against the fallen
angels, although the point is made by multiple different fellow commanders. Satan then focuses his
destruction upon God s creation, humans. He believes that by introducing sin to them, he will grieve
God. The epic poem ends the second book with Satan s ascent into Heaven to trick Adam and Eve. In
Paradise Lost, the book s message states that when humans are given the choice between sin and
salvation, the choice of salvation and return to God s grace makes God s power even stronger than any
evil s. Paradise Lost reinstates the insights I claimed through the story in the Bible, that we must be
aware of the choices we make between good or bad, and that if we are drawn into temptations and sin,
God s salvation is always more powerful than any temporary luxury that temptation

Many more traits and lifelong lessons can come with being a part of a team. The movie Remember the
titans is a good example of a team which you can learn a lot from and will not learn anywhere else.

Essay On Terri Shiavo
They were the subjects of public disputes with family members, court systems, medical professionals,
the media, and society at large. Terri Schiavo, Nancy Cruzan and Karen Ann Quinlan; their names are
synonymous with permanent vegetative state (PVS). The amazing technological advancements in
modern medicine has been credited with keeping persons alive who in times past would have died,
therefore this is remarkable for countless families. In the cases of the Quinlan s, the Cruzan s and
many like them, families members find it unbearable to witness loved ones who linger indefinitely in
PVS with little or no chance for recovery. There are many like Terri Schiavo s parents, who value the

374, para. 3). According to John Collins Harvey, a senior research scholar and professor emeritus of
medicine at Georgetown University, feeding tubes should be removed from patients in PVS because
there is no hope for recovery. Harvey explains that the cerebral cortex the area of the brain that
controls conscious thought, language, and sensory perception has been irreparably damaged by a lack
of oxygen (Harvey, 2004). However, recent studies on DOC have revealed the difficulty of diagnosing
PVS, especially because a few PVS patients recovered consciousness and demonstrated awareness as
a result of drug therapies and functional imaging studies (Fisher Appelbaum, 2010). Obviously, these
patients were not in PVS, an irreversible condition. The awakening of persons after the administration
of specific medications brings attention to the possibility that VS is often over diagnosed (Sara Pistoia,
2010). The differential diagnosis of disorders of consciousness is challenging. The rate of
misdiagnosis is approximately 40%, and new methods are required to complement bedside testing,
particularly if the patient s capacity to show behavioral signs of awareness is diminished (Monti,
Vanhaudenhuyse, Coleman, Boly, 2010, para. 1). The Issue of Death The definition of death is another
issue paramount to this discussion. Robert Rakestraw, professor of theology at Bethel Theological
Seminary in his article on this very subject

Technology Changes In America
Technology was the highlight of every 7th graders day last year. Technology was interesting and fun
and always taught us something new. We as a class were constantly doing new activities on the
computers, but all that changed this year. Technology was replaced with a special class named Math
lab. At first most of our class knew what to think of what this new special would be. Yet after the first
class it was obvious what Math Lab was. Math lab was a boring, repetitive, strict class that only
minorly strengthens skills in Math that most of both classes already knew. If we do not bring back
technology instead of math lab we may not be able to learn computer skills that are needed in High
School.
If Technology does not come back instead of Math lab we and future 8th graders may not know skills
on the computer needed for high school. When our class enters high school, with technology as a class
gone, we will not know how to use important programs such as PowerPoint or Microsoft Word.
Knoxville Catholic, Farragut High school, and Lenoir City high school have a computers technology
class. They have no Math Lab or computers math class. So what then is the point of having a class that
does not exist in the later grades? If middle school is serving the purpose of preparing us for high
school then shouldn t we mimic the high schools? ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Every day at the last class is Math. And still we have Math class every day. Saying that Math Lab will
improve our understanding and knowledge of Math, and improve our GPA on Math scores simply isn t
true. 1 class every week on a subject we have every day will not solve anything! Furthermore the work
that we do in Math lab is the opposite of motivating. The work that remembers is repetitive and
boring, makes students not want to study! Math class should be for

Economic Globalization
Introduction
Economic globalization has become the most important feature and a general trend of present world
economic development. Globalization is a phenomenon and also a process of development of mankind
and human society (Hamilton, 2008). It is the essential feature of the modern age. Globalization is the
cross border flows of capital and goods, including capital, labour, technology and natural resources
(Bożyk, Misala Puławski, 2002). Economic globalization is a historical process, and the germination
of it could date back to the 16th century. After the industrial revolution, capitalist commodity
economy, modern industry and transportation have been developing rapidly. The world market was
fast expanded and the foreign trade was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The negative impact on globalization can be clearly illustrated from the financial sphere. One collapse
in the financial sector would lead to the domino style economic collapse.
Global Stratification
Global stratification can be defined that globe countries and areas are not on an equal footing in the
process of economic, political and cultural globalization (Andersen Taylor, 2006). The economic
globalization has exacerbated the imbalance of world economy and has widened the wealth gap.
Globalization has brought unfair relationships between developing countries and developed countries.
Gao (2000) noted that economic globalization has expanded the gap between South and North. And it
has brought huge shocks to national economy of developing countries. The international economic
organizations like the Word Bank, IMF and WTO are in the hand of developed countries (El Ojeili, C.
Hayden, P., 2006.). All the principles, institutions and sequences for the world economic operation are
made by them. (Sklair, 2002)What s more, the economic, technical and management advantages that
is owned by Western countries cannot be easily and fully surpassed by developing countries.
It is fair to say that the ones who benefit the most in economic globalization are developed countries
whose social productive forces are highly developed ((El Ojeili, C. Hayden, P., 2006.). However, it is
difficult for developing countries that are relatively

Nigeria, The Niger Delta and the Nigerian Government
Nigeria might be rich in resources; its population lives in poverty. With a Multidimensional Poverty
Index (MPI) of .31, it was ranked number 157 out of the 186 United Nations (UN) member states in
2012. Also, according to the World Bank, the poverty headcount ratio was 68%, meaning this part of
the population lived with less than $1.25 a day in 2010.
The Niger Delta is one of the nine states of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It counts about 20 million
people and around 70 000 km² of land. The region is one of the most prominent wetlands in the world.
Oil has produced about $600 billion since the 1960 s.
Despite its wealth in resources, the majority of the people live under poor conditions. To counter this
poverty, the Nigerian government has set up several commissions in the past. The most prominent are
the Oil Mineral Producing Areas Development Commission (OMPADEC) and the Niger Delta
Development Commission (NDDC).
The OMPADEC was established in 1993 and focused on the development of the Niger Delta Region
(NDR). It however failed due to factors as corruption, mismanagement and non sufficient funding.
Hereafter, the NDDC was to replace the OMPADEC. It would create socio economic development in
the NDR. The NDDC set up various projects in the region. However, due to the poor structure of the
organisation and inadequate funding the NDDC have

Police Officer Downfall
Stop The Downfall Of Our Heros
Imagine a child that worries every day about the fact that he may never see his mom or dad again
because they are out there risking their lives for their community. With constant attacks on police
happening, thousands of children all around the country are constantly worrying about their mother or
father returning from work. One might argue that an officer s job is dangerous enough as it is and that
is completely understandable. But what is not acceptable is that danger increasing due to planned
attacks from protestors. Due to recent events, many protesters have emerged against police, some
peaceful, and some murderous. Many people are also starting to look at police officers in a bad way
due to how the media has blown up a couple situations. Police are constantly being judged as racist
killers, and the many stereotypes going around are not deserved.
As Americans, we simply do not understand that there actually is good police officers out there.

police and black people. And when someone finally hears about something or an incident that
happened, they will most likely automatically assume that police officers should not be trusted either

Speech On Eye Cream
Eye creams: The dos and don ts that you must know
Overview
Your eyes form a very important part of your body. This is why you should always endeavor to be on
top of your eye care routines in order to keep them fully functional. In addition, you should also
ensure that the area surrounding them is equally in good shape if not better. This is because even if
you have a 20/20 vision, no cataracts and definitely no macular degeneration, the area under your eyes
can still paint you as unhealthy, tired or aged. Now, am sure you do not want to walk around looking
like you are 95, hanged up and sickly, well at least not when you are going to show your face to the
world. This is why you should invest in a good eye cream.
What is an eye cream?
These are beauty products that are specially made to eradicate the dryness, darkening, puffiness and
wrinkling of the areas under your eyes. Now, this is one part that is easily prone to darkening and
swelling and hence requires special attention as it functions as your front office. What did they tell you
about first impressions? ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This will help ensure that you get nothing but the very best out of the eye cream.
Let us start with what you should do
1. Apply it gently
Unlike other parts of the face, this part is particularly susceptible to wrinkling. This is why you should
softly massage the eye cream in order to avoid any pulling of the skin. This is because tugging will
loosen the skin hence increasing the chance of wrinkles appearing.
2. Give it time to sink in before you apply make up
Now because you apply the eye cream before make up, it is prudent to let it first get absorbed in order
to ensure your make up is all smooth. If the cream is not properly absorbed, you may end up with
small heaps of the powder or concealer. Therefore for it not to interfere with you make up, it is
important to first allow it to sink

Differences And Similarities Between The Aztec And Mayan...
Maya and Aztec Comparison Essay
In ancient Mesoamerica, there were two great empires; the Aztec and Mayan Empires. The Mayan
Empire developed in southeastern Mexico, surrounding the Yucatan Peninsula and Sierra Madre
mountains. Similar to the Mayan Empire, the Aztec Empire also developed in Mexico. They spoke
their the Nahuatl language, while the Mayans spoke Hieroglyphics (no exact name). Two civilizations
both used terrace farming and human labor for agriculture. Wars between towns, cities, and empires
did cause two empires to fall, but Mayan Empire mostly fell because of rulers forcing farmers to farm
for them, unlike the Aztecs. Both empires had similarities and differences in many aspects. In terms of
geography, Mayans and Aztecs both settled in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What s more, they all had some sort of volcanic belts. The Aztecs had Iztaccihuatl mountains, located
in the southeastern part of Mexico, and the Mayans had Popocatepetl, also located in the southeastern
part of Mexico. Not just these two, but there were many volcanic belts in the ancient Aztec and Mayan
Empires. As I mentioned earlier in this paragraph, they all lived in a swampy land. Of course, there
must have been some detriments, but they used their swampy lands as an advantage in agriculture!
Also, two empires used human labor when they were farming. As we learned, Aztecs transported food
and farmed using humans, same with the Mayans. Plus, they used terrace farming as their technique.
Terrace farming, aka terracing , is a type of farming using steps of a mountain or a hill. Believe it or
not, they also had similarities with the fall of them. Leaders poor, catastrophic decisions eventually led
to the decline. If Moctezuma II did not choose to make Cortes and his men stay, Aztec would be still

John Keats Syntax
When I Have Fears That I May Cease to Be by John Keats has the usual feeling that one would have
during an existential crisis, but it also includes a sense of belonging. John Keats s poem, When I Have
Fears That I May Cease to Be, shows a fear of death that seems to come from a sense of belonging or
wishing to belong through the use of syntax, creating images, and word choice. The syntax in the
poem is completely regular for a English Sonnet and could be considered a way of showing belonging.
The fact that the structure and syntax of the poem is so standard shows that Keats is conforming to the
rules rather than writing in a style that is completely his own. In this way, the poem belongs to the
stylistic group that is made up of English Sonnets. This could be connected to the sense of belonging
that can be seen within the other language choices in the poem through the act of conformity. ... Show

One of the reasons the narrator says he holds a fear of death is because he would no longer be able to
see the face of a beautiful woman and have the chance to be loved by her. The image of this woman is
created when Keats says, And when I feel, fair creature of an hour, that I shall never look upon thee
more, never relish in the fairy power of unreflecting love, (Lines 9 12). These lines show a sense of
wishing to belong through the longing for love from this woman, and this wish creates a fear of dying
before there is a chance of it coming to be. Another reason for the narrator s fears is missing the
chance of gaining fame before dying and, instead, his remaining time being wasted alone. The image
is created when Keats says, Then on the shore of the wide world I stand alone, and think till love and
fame to nothingness do sink, (Lines 12 14). In these lines, the narrator is spending his time alone while
thinking about fame. These images at the end of the poem show the narrator s wish for

What Is The Role Of Laura Ingalls Wilder s Early Childhood
The role of a pioneer women usually involved cooking, cleaning, and taking care of the children. The
school houses were really far apart from where most people lived because everything was so spread
out, so most of the kids in the pioneer days were taught at home by the women in the house, or they
went to the school houses by wagon or they had to walk depending on how close it was. Some of the
women worked as partners with the pioneer men with establishing homes. Once and in a while they
would bring the wood in, but they mostly just did the household stuff, and they took care of the kids.

The name of the muscle comes from Latin, meaning, Three headed arm muscle. This muscle is sometimes called the three headed muscle because there are three bundles of muscles and each has a different origin and join together at the elbow. The triceps is an extensor muscle of the elbow and its function is to fixate the elbow joint when the forearm and hand are used for fine movements, such as writing. The triceps can function through either isolation or by compound extension movements. The quadriceps femoris, most commonly referred to as quadriceps, comes from Latin, which means, four headed muscle of the femur. These are large muscle groups that include the four prevailing muscles on the front of the thigh. Quadriceps are also divided into four portions, or heads, hence from the Latin origins. The quadriceps are powerful extensors of the knee joint. These muscles are crucial for walking, running, jumping, and squatting. The skeletal muscles are one of three major muscles types. • 3. Game Theory And Human Rationality Essay Game Theory and Human Rationality Game theory is a popular resource for modelling economic, sociological, philosophical and many other situations. The Stanford Encyclopaedia of Philosophy defines it as the study of the ways in which interacting choices of economic agents produce outcomes with respect to the preferences (or utilities) of those agents, where the outcomes in question might have been intended by none of the agents. Game theory has many uses, including describing and predicting ideal behaviour as discussed later on. It can be used to model and predict for example. There are, however, criticisms to game theory in regards to its ability to apply to human rationality and emotion. Due to the widespread use of game theory, this has become a popular area of research in economic, philosophic and even psychological theory. One can think of game theory as descriptive due to the fact we often use game theory to explain or justify people s actions after they are taken. This is best seen in analytics of games or sports, where an analyst might weigh up the advantages and disadvantages to explain a player s actions. An example of this would be a retrospective analysis of a chess game, where game theory can be applied to each move to explain why the player might have played a move that seemed illogical without further thought, but ultimately gains an advantage. This only works assuming both player and analyst are both rational or equally irrational. If this were not the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

An article written by Tomporowski (2012) proves some of the same points of the earlier articles by stated that much research recently has shown there is a significant correlation between physical activity and intelligence and healthy cognitive development and structures in children. Again, this article states that not much research has been done, but most of the research has proven that physical exercise helps neuropathways in the brain and rebuilding brain cells for healthier development. This is essential for children and adolescents as they grow, and physical activity and exercise is proving to be a huge factor determining many children and their future. A few studies, however, provide evidence that exercise may facilitate specific types of cognitive functioning. Children s executive functions appear particularly sensitive to exercise interventions, (Tomporowski, 2012). Kraft s article states that there is increasing evidence over the years that physical activity has a direct and significant effect on cognitive function, as explained in the article. This article talks about the research done on both animals and humans to prove that exercise is looked at the cause of stimulating neuroplasticity, as stated in the article, which could increase cognitive functioning. Richard Grafton, printer to Edward VI tells us Robin Hood was descended of a noble parentage, * thereby explaining his prowess with sword and bow due to the training received by children of the nobility. Dodsworth s comment that his mother kept him after he killed his stepfather and fled into the woods, suggests he was young and looked after by a nanny or servants. The king owed his comely appearance to the skill and craftsmanship of the guilds, one of which was Robin s guild. The patron saint of the drapers guild was the Virgin Mary, who Robin loved and whose name was often on his lips. A charitable organisation known as the guild of Our Lord Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary cared for the widows and orphans of their deceased members. These people were destitute and tradition has it that Robin gave to the poor what he took from the rich. To explain this problematic issue the media entities have come up with some questions like; What do consumers need? Is it a real or false need? Can we come up with a common and definitive set of universal human needs? What is it that consumers really need? Is it perhaps in order to stay alive? These questions can lead to different answers that in essence come down to particular human behaviors. (Colin Campbell 282). One example of human behavior with regards to the food we eat is that most of the world s population eats more that they really need to maintain proper nutrition and healthy lives. Another is shown in the types of vehicles we drive. Is it really necessary to drive a huge 4 wheel drive, fuel inefficient SUV around the city or on a commute to work? Furthermore, is it really necessary to have 50 pairs of shoes? In order to specify some one s needs it is essential to have a comprehensive knowledge of that person s background and ambitions and their needs and desires. The media is creating desires that we confuse with needs. (Colin Campbell 280 283). The most effective ads are ones that we don t even recognize as advertisements. Cultures Of Anglo-Saxon And Modern Society There are many known periods that we know lead to the development of the modern era and the Anglo Saxon period is the oldest known period of time that had a complex culture with stable government, art and literature. This period is a time filled with great advancements and discoveries in government, religion, literature, and art. Cultures of Anglo Saxon society and modern society have many similarities as well as differences. There are many differences between this period and the modern era we live in today in terms of politics, social climate, values, social hierarchy, the role of women, military, government and language. In this essay, I am going to focus on the differences of the two periods in terms of values, role of women and language in the society. Some of the most common values during the Anglo Saxon period include courage, loyalty and generosity. The Anglo Saxon era was almost always in the state of war which is why it is a time when fighting is valued more than working things out. This meant that heroes of this period fought for fame, glory, and pride. Heroes were expected to boast. Beowulf, the best symbol for Anglo Saxon heroes, proves this by volunteering to fight the monster just because he was bored and wanted to do something he can brag about. In the story, Beowulf boasts of his bravery by talking about his past battles and victories. Beowulf basically acts more for his own glory than for the general well being to his people. • 12. Formal And Acceptance, Bid, Advertising And Public Offer... Offer and acceptance There are six elements of an enforceable contract and we will discuss one of them which is offer and acceptance. As we learned in the class offer and acceptance defined as a proposal made by one party to another party that designates a disposition to enter into a contract and a designation made by the offeree that he or she concurs to be bound by the terms of the offer . This research, will discuss the requirement for a valid offer and acceptance, bid, advertising and public offer and termination of an offer. Requirements for a valid offer The first requirement is definite and certain which mean the offer must specify all the terms of the contract without leaving ambiguous parts in it because if one of the competent parties misses an important part of the contract there will be later disagreement. The second requirement is offer must be communicated to the offeree, an offeror has a several ways to make the offeree know the contract it may include oral communication, written communication, and also implied communication. Essay about Frankenstein and Bladerunner It s not so much about survival but more about the quality of life To what extent can this statement be applied to the two texts you have studied this year? Survival is the continuing to live or exist, especially in difficult conditions, whereas The quality of life is the fulfillment and personal satisfaction a person has with one s life. Percy Shelley s novel Frankenstein (1818) and Ridley Scotts film Blade Runner (1982) both demonstrate a struggle for quality of life within their texts. The texts show that it is not so much about a being s survival, but about their undeniable want for quality in their life. It is questioning humanity on how a creation can absorb emotions. How can a mere creation display such compassion? This is outlining the monster is no longer concerned with simply surviving, but more concerned with experiencing and understanding every aspect and quality of life. We are also shown the idea of humanity and compassion in the film Blade Runner . The replicants are only seen as objects. This is shown through the repetition of the reference to replicants as it . It shows the lack of compassion and humanity and to have quality of life you need a certain degree of this. Blade Runner also illustrates that it may not be the replicants fault for their need to survive but lacking of the quality of life. The film noir expresses the films artificial and depressing world with dehumanized buildings and dark eerie environments. This makes you ask is this world forgetting about humanity? Their quest for survival is only one step into gaining quality of life as the world they live in now does not contain all elements needed to acquire this. Frankenstein expresses a clear idea of freedom and autonomy. Shelley portrays the monster as lonely and only wanting to fit in. There have not been many significant literature reviews about teachers using inquiry based instructional strategies to teach science and to plan units and meet curriculum demands. However, most literature that was found suggests that teachers that use instructional strategies in their unit plans and lessons give teachers an opportunity to meet curriculum demands. Doing unit plans and lessons with an inquiry based approach works very well because of limited time elementary teachers have. A lot of times teacher can create integrated or cross curricular unit plans, which helps meet the demands of the curriculum. • 17. Discrimination Of Girls In China History: Discrimination of girls in China comes down to the preference of boys over girls at birth. The roots to this preference can be found deep within the Chinese culture. Boys are wanted as they will carry on the family name and care for the parents in old age. Girls on the other hand, are seen as a waste of time as they will marry into another family, change names, and only look after their in laws. The One Child Policy was implemented by Deng Xiaoping in 1979 and ended in 2015 as a plan to reduce the growth rate of China s enormous population. As a result of the one child policy, the numbers of mothers proceeding with abortions if they found out they were having a girl spiked and it also spiked with the introduction of ultrasound technology in. Even when girls are lucky enough to make it through pregnancy, they are still often abandoned or thrown in the trash to die. Others are given to orphanages to be adopted out. Families would do anything to get a boy as their only child: Mothers that are poisoned and given forced abortions, babies that are thrown against walls, smothered or drowned newborns, and infants that are left in the trash to die. When girls are able to make it past their first few years of life with supportive families, they are able to experience as equal opportunities as boys. The main symptom of the Red Death is blood. The other symptoms include sharp pains, and sudden dizziness, and then profuse bleeding at the pores, with dissolution (Poe 4). What makes this plague so deadly is that the duration of the disease is no longer than half an hour, leaving the victim s face and body covered with blood. This pushed the imperfect contractual arrangement between the parties outside the self enforcing range and led Fisher to take advantage of the fact that GM was contractually obligated to purchase bodies on a cost plus basis. The story is contained within that of Genesis, and a crucial moment in this tale is the moment Eve is tempted by the serpent to go against God s will. This crucial moment is known as original sin, as this moment is when both Adam and Eve fall from God s favor into the suffering and sin that is present in our modern world. The tribulations that we were exempt from previously were now instated in our dominion due to this original sin. However, while reading this Bible story, I did not truly understand this insight. While analyzing and reading the actual story for the first time, I gained more insight into this original sin, and God s almighty power over all, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In Milton s Paradise Lost, Satan is characterized as a vengeful fallen angel who, while attempting to rile his fallen army once again to battle, constantly battles with the inner despair and sorrow he feels due to his loss against God. Satan struggles to fully realize God s almighty power against the fallen angels, although the point is made by multiple different fellow commanders. Satan then focuses his destruction upon God s creation, humans. He believes that by introducing sin to them, he will grieve God. The epic poem ends the second book with Satan s ascent into Heaven to trick Adam and Eve. In Paradise Lost, the book s message states that when humans are given the choice between sin and salvation, the choice of salvation and return to God s grace makes God s power even stronger than any evil s. Paradise Lost reinstates the insights I claimed through the story in the Bible, that we must be aware of the choices we make between good or bad, and that if we are drawn into temptations and sin, God s salvation is always more powerful than any temporary luxury that temptation ... Harvey explains that the cerebral cortex the area of the brain that controls conscious thought, language, and sensory perception has been irreparably damaged by a lack of oxygen (Harvey, 2004). However, recent studies on DOC have revealed the difficulty of diagnosing PVS, especially because a few PVS patients recovered consciousness and demonstrated awareness as a result of drug therapies and functional imaging studies (Fisher Appelbaum, 2010). Obviously, these patients were not in PVS, an irreversible condition. The awakening of persons after the administration of specific medications brings attention to the possibility that VS is often over diagnosed (Sara Pistoia, 2010). The differential diagnosis of disorders of consciousness is challenging. The rate of misdiagnosis is approximately 40%, and new methods are required to complement bedside testing, particularly if the patient s capacity to show behavioral signs of awareness is diminished (Monti, Vanhaudenhuyse, Coleman, Boly, 2010, para. 1). This is why you should always endeavor to be on top of your eye care routines in order to keep them fully functional. In addition, you should also ensure that the area surrounding them is equally in good shape if not better. This is because even if you have a 20/20 vision, no cataracts and definitely no macular degeneration, the area under your eyes can still paint you as unhealthy, tired or aged. Now, am sure you do not want to walk around looking like you are 95, hanged up and sickly, well at least not when you are going to show your face to the world. This is why you should invest in a good eye cream. What is an eye cream? These are beauty products that are specially made to eradicate the dryness, darkening, puffiness and wrinkling of the areas under your eyes. • 30. John Keats Syntax When I Have Fears That I May Cease to Be by John Keats has the usual feeling that one would have during an existential crisis, but it also includes a sense of belonging. John Keats s poem, When I Have Fears That I May Cease to Be, shows a fear of death that seems to come from a sense of belonging or wishing to belong through the use of syntax, creating images, and word choice. The syntax in the poem is completely regular for a English Sonnet and could be considered a way of showing belonging. The fact that the structure and syntax of the poem is so standard shows that Keats is conforming to the rules rather than writing in a style that is completely his own. In this way, the poem belongs to the stylistic group that is made up of English Sonnets.
